I don’t understand why Nike doesn’t make more of the Jordan retros when they always seem to sell out in a matter of hours on release day.

...it’s a frustrating business model.

They really want to avoid mass production.

Isn’t there more money in mass production if the product demand is extraordinarily high?

That’s the goal of a company like Nike, is it not?

...making cheddar.

Oversaturation is the word I should have used.

There has to be a happy medium between over saturation and 1-hour release day sellouts.

That's hard to determine from release to release (not just Jordans, but other Nike footwear as well). Actually, there has been times that retailers have received replenishment on Jordans in the recent past.

Yes Crafts are very nice, I'm proud of you Ray!

As to why Nike limits production of retro Jordans... they don't want them to go on sale or sit on sales racks. The more hype the more people covet them and they faster they sell out and move on to the next release. I don't like it either honestly, and I much prefer "the old days" where they did go on sale and you could be choosey with which pairs you bought on release day and which ones you would wait for to go on sale.

Anyway I hit on 2 pairs of the black/royal blue 13s, will post pics when they arrive.

I honestly don’t understand Nike’s business method.

Some shoes are listed on SNKRS well in advance of their release, while others just show up on Nike.com with no announcement and are mostly sold out in the most common sizes within a day.

I was really hoping to score a pair of these 07 wheat-colored AF1s and had been waiting for a release day announcement for weeks. They were never on SNKRS and the Nike website just said “Coming.”

Now I’m scrolling down the Nike website and see “Just In” and they’re already sold out in my size.

I’m perturbed.

...I’m very perturbed.

Just bought my batch of running shoes for training in 2021, hopefully they'll arrive sooner than the estimate.

Is that basically a large scale scalper’s site?

The prices are well above MSRP.

Can someone provide a semi logical explanation as to how any sane human being would actually choose to wear a pair of shoes like these in public?

...people actually buy these?

I’m thinking about buying some Air Jordan 1 lows off eBay, but I’m concerned about size.

I usually go with 11.5, all my AF1s in that size fit like a glove. But when I bought m6 first pair of Air Jordan 1 high tops about a year ago, the 11.5s felt too tight in the toe area, so I went with size 12, even though they’re a little too long.

Do Air Jordan 1s typically run big or small in your experience?

I have a pair of 1 OG high I bought a few years ago (never stuck my foot in them and are still in the box and I bought them on sale on the SNKRS app):

To answer you question, you're better off going a half size bigger.
