The figure is not that bad...What could make it bad is if it costs $229 or more.

I may consider buying it if the price is around $175 maybe.

I totally get that... congrats on the win! Hope it was something you wanted. I often enter but figure I would probably flip whatever I might get as most of the stuff doesn't interest me. Always figured that was bad karma and why I never win

Funny that you mention it. I was thinking of actually flipping the item in order to get something that I actually do want. Not that it is a bad item. There are just so many others that would be better for my particular tastes.

Oh... and... I thought that only my wife was allowed to be inside my head! GET OUT! THIS IS MY CRANIAL CAVERN!!!

Since discovering this company a few months ago, I've been entering every contest just for this reason. lol

I almost always enter just thinking, "Meh... I'll probably never win anyways." It has only been since the moment it officially happened that I started thinking, "Well, maybe I can turn it over to pay for or trade for one of my wants."

I think this is the barest figure Hot Toys has released. Only an extra pair of hands! As for Quicksilver, I think it will wind up being like New Goblin figure from Spider-Man 3.

That's always been my mentality. The only contests I've ever won are a writing contest that got my work filmed (horribly) and a whole bunch of stuff from Frito Lay back in 1999 with the huge promo campaign for The Phantom Menace. I won posters, a backpack, a keychain, and a phone.

that photo is the first version which includes a diorama and some fists.

the second version includes:
Two (2) pairs of interchangeable palms including:
- One (1) pair of relaxed palms with movable fingers
- One (1) pair of forceful fists

I thought the diorama was only included with the Banner & Hulk set that was released after the original Avengers Hulk figure came out. I bought the first Avengers Hulk and there was no diorama at all just the extra set of hands. Here's a picture of the one with the diorama.

Sorry about that

I don't win much of anything either, I'm not much of a contest junkie but Sideshow makes it pretty easy. I entered a contest on amazon.ca once and won second prize, a blu-ray of the movie and a $100 Amazon.ca GC. That was pretty cool. I didn't even remember entering and double and triple checked the 'winning' e-mail was legit and not a phishing scam.

Quicksilver is $209.99. Not worth it for that price imho.

I think you are right because that is what I have and I thought there was a dioram too in the stand alone Hulk.

I would've preferred a $179.99 at the very least.

Quicksilver is pricey, but honestly it could be worse. $209.99, just wait for a coupon and he's $189.99. Add the rewards and it's not too bad. He's essential for an Age of Ultron collection. Personally I'm not going to bother unless he goes on a discount at some point. I'm perfectly okay with the main Avengers, and maybe Vision.

The Joker DX11
The Crow MMS210
T1 Battle Damaged Arnie MMS238
T2 DX10 Arnie (too good of a deal to pass on, even if the head sculpt isn't the best according to some)
Robocop diecast MMS202
Classic Pred MMS162
Ancient Pred MMS250
Elder Pred MMS233
Scar Pred MMS190
City Hunter Pred MMS173
AvP:R Alien Warrior MMS54
AvP Grid Alien MMS28
Aliens 3 Dog Alien MMS77
Aliens Alien Warrior MMS38 x2

I have Iron Man MKIII Diecast and Stormtrooper Luke on preorder as well, but have since decided to not go down the MCU or Star Wars path, so I'll probably sell them once they arrive.

Still wanting to add ED-209, DX13 Arnie, DX08 Joker, and that's about it, then I'll basically be done.....for now.
Awesome predator and alien collection. which is better out of the classic and elder predator? love both but trying to decide which one i want first

Yeah, he is not a priority for me too. Sooner or later this will be discounted.

It really depends how you want to display them, the Elder doesn't come with a bio mask, but overall, I think he's the better looking figure. The classic is awesome too, but I actually dislike his base and consider it a drawback.

You really can't go wrong with either one honestly.

Also, price wise, Elder can still be found rather cheap at Big Bad Toy Store and on eBay if you're patient. I snagged him new on eBay shipped from Hong Kong for $185. Also, if you're new to Hot Toys, make sure you get the Elder with Predator 2 packaging or Classic with the Predators packaging, those are the newest (and best imo) versions of them.

thanks for the info and yes im new to hot toys, this will be my first one

gonna go for elder first i think, from the pics, he just looks better done than classic predator.

i plan to buy some predator, batman, terminator and marvel figures (have a feeling its going to cost a fortune for them all )
