Those who have finished the game,

For NG+

What stats & inventory do you keep for second play though?

That and possibly the duplication trick. I wish they would work faster and harder on that patch they mentioned that will fix load times. I'll be done with this game by the time that happens.

I still think there was no excuse for having load times that long. The graphics are damn good but they're not THAT good and the f***ing game doesn't even run at 60fps which is kind of sad considering what generation of consoles we're on. So yeah, no way the load times should be this long.

I think there is more disagreement on what constitutes a western style role playing game than anything else. Probably age dependent.

I've been playing offline, since I still have not decided whether I want to use the dupe. Haven't yet. Beat Celestial Seasonings and Amygdala solo, pretty straightforward, but can't beat Ebrietas. She's too fast. I know what to do, but I can't stay behind her, and the camera is really screwy, so half the time I can't see myself. Around level 74. A few more levels will make me only nominally stronger, so I can't see that is worth it. Probably have to log back on and just deal with it and take her on co-op.

For any slow moving bosses bring full stock on poison knives, knives, Molotov, and oil. Finish all of them on him/her/it and their health will be or very close to half. You can hit them from a distance. Worked great on a lot of the later bosses. Saves you some vials since you can hit them from a distance and then worry about the up close encounter.

She is weak to bolt also . I used the item that makes ur bullets stronger also sge doesnt like being hit in the face . Just watch Her lunge and area attack

Blood Starve Beast sure has an attitude. But he still went down like a *****! lol. I was probably a little OP for the poor spaz

Fire seemed to work, and I just did my usual swipe then roll behind him.....only get them in the butt. He got a couple good swipes in me

Well I just set my controller down to go make a coffee and set off my strong attack....as I was standing in front of the level up doll... go me.

I can still use her corpse to level up but man that sucks

I'm careful not to do anything around her. I accidently killed Patches the Spider tonight while looking for the blob monster. I guess he's analogous to Patches the Hyena, but it's too late now. Usually when I set the controller down, the gun goes off, L2, not R2, for some reason. Finished Micolash off tonight. Not too bad. I will wait until I'm ready to move onto the next one. Gonna collect some trophies. I guess we have to do the dungeons for the platinum.

With the help of a hunter, got past Rom - not sure why he was so hard for me. Much more aggressive that I've seen in Youtube vids...

But a woman appeared, the moon turned orange, so went back to the clinic, and sure enough the doctor lady was in her room in her (ahem) position, and going on about being chosen.

Guess I needed to defeat Rom....good day. made progress.

Wait, you can accidentally kill the doll? I kinda want to do that for the heck of it.

As far as the loading screens are concerned, I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't just a black screen with the name of the game. Maybe hints, or even concept art.

Speaking of concept art, I was going through the little book that came with my collectors edition and noticed a lot of the character concepts look like the work of Yoshitaka Amano who worked on many Final Fantasy games, but also designed the look of Vampire Hunter D. If it's not his work, there is a definite influence. Considering the the soundtrack for the game is so great, I've yet to actually hear much of it in the game itself. Of course I'm not as deep in as most of you guys.

I did manage to get a friendly villager finally but had to accept a quest

I have this game but haven't even put it in my machine yet. I'm wondering if I should just start it now or hold out for the patch that improves load times. I have other games I could play in the meantime. I wonder how much better the load times will even be. Also any idea when the patch will be available?

For myself, load times are a total nonissue, but that's just me
