DiCaprio is fine but I wish Scorsese hadn't made him his golden boy. De Niro was great because he could disappear into any character and a variety of ethnicities - you never saw him acting. I've never seen that quality in DiCaprio, except maybe in WoWS.

Always hope he'll surprise me though. I'm watching Killers tomorrow and thought his acting in the trailers seemed more natural than usual, so fingers crossed.

I'm certain this one will get a physical release down the line, as well. After wide theatrical release, and after it's on Apple for a while.

I sadly am not so confident this gets a Blu-Ray release i hope it does but i do not think Apple has ever released one of their exclusive movies on Blu-Ray so i think this will be stock on their greedy service same goes for NAPOLEON.

They have. Not many, but they have. The fact that this also has Paramount's backing makes a physical release possible as well.

I remember her stealing the show in Kelly Reichardt‘s Certain Woman years ago. And she’s been very articulate in her interviews during the Flower Moon press (pre-strike). I like the way she speaks about her craft here and the research they did for the movie:

I'm not watching this until I've seen the film, but from the screenshot it's interesting that DiCaprio is really starting to resemble Marlon Brando.

I heard people say the same thing about The Irishman but I find that movie completely engrossing. I’m on the modern day Scorsese epic wave length. Both him and Iron Maiden said we can’t go faster, let’s find a groove to sit in and explore are more epic way of making art.


Yes I just compared Iron Maiden and Scorsese. Two things teenage and old ass me love!

I wasn't blown away by The Irishman, although I did find it engaging and definitely a worthwhile watch, and I'm fairly certain I'll enjoy FOTKM even if it's not the film of the book I would have loved someone to produce.

Iron Maiden was my first concert. Well the Ozzfest with Iron Maiden (the infamous one where Sharon threw eggs at Maiden) and it was great! All other concerts have paled in comparison!

The most amazing thing is in 3.5 hrs of runtime, Scorsese could only afford to give the highest billed female performer - an Academy award winner - only 4 lines or so.

Hoping for a change of that in Killers which i am very excited to see.

Speaking to GamesRadar+ on the red carpet of the film's recent premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, she explained that early on into shooting they knew DiCaprio's performance was going to be something special: "Leo - I think really this time he's done his best work, given his best performance. Marty called me from the set on take one of him being on the stand - he told me we are just going to run it like that with no cuts to anybody else, except for one to the prosecutor."

Audiences aren't gullible enough to buy everything that is uttered during a movie's PR and Oscar campaign.

When it comes to a filmmaker like Scorsese I wouldn’t question his 3-hour plus runtimes. But I do think other filmmakers need to earn that level of confidence. Like who is Ari Aster to be making 3-hour movies for general release at this point of his career?
