Since it's his movie, he'd still be the one to decide whether he'd release it and, considering it's been on hold for so long, it would be important, I think, to make sure that he's actually interested in releasing it in the first place.

However, since it was brought up again, I have a few more questions/points of clarification about the match itself and its purpose.
First, seeing as I've got zero wrestling experience and no real desire to do any training, it's basically a foregone conclusion that I'd lose. As such, it would end up being less of an actual match than me just getting punched a couple times, pinned, and then likely being called. It probably wouldn't take 3 minutes either. More likely around 30 seconds.
Second, as far as I'm aware (and I could be wrong), I thought matches were set based on weight class? I weigh approximately 140 lbs, so would such a match even be doable?
Third, and this is more, for lack of a better term, of a philosophical question: what is the purpose of the match? As noted in points 1 and 2, it's basically a foregone conclusion that I'd lose, so the whole concept of having a fight would probably be a non-starter. I know it's ostensibly to get THE FARMER released, so if the whole purpose is to achieve that goal, I can respect it (assuming Bill wants to release it). But otherwise, I'm not really sure what the point is.
I've been watching wrestling for a long, LONG time and I can see a swerve coming a mile away. I can see it now... John is down and almost out when out of nowhere Banana man himself enters the match with a steel chair and strikes the Demon from behind thus changing the course of their dynamic partnership forever.

It's the face turn Bill has been wanting to make his whole life... the dramatics practically write themselves. Let's make this match happen.

Well, SLAUGHTER HOTEL was made after Speck went on his spree.
THE COLLECTOR, however, was re-issued specifically to cash in on Corll.

Also, keep in mind that this was the 70s so rushing out a 'same day' campaign woulda been pretty difficult, if not impossible. But I have no doubt that, had it been possible, it would have occurred.

Never heard of it. Let's not encourage the behavior. We're better than that.

Another company wants to see The Farmer released more than the one that one's it? Pretty clear who is the heel and who is the face in this situation.

Totally missed the live stream. So...

A) Other than psychotic threats of violence, were there any “huge earth shattering announcements that will rock the world of cult film Blu-Ray??”
B) Assuming “A” isn’t a big fat “Nope. Toxic masculine displays of anger and barely coherent ramblings of the Webster’s Dictionary ideal of troll were all there was to see here,” than what was said announcement?

Then Tom runs out and gives the Bananaman a Stone Cold stunner

It has been done before and there are cases in the past where someone with much lower weight class immediately defeated their opponent through technique:

Funny you should ask, from what I recall, Dave claimed there was something earth shattering in his metal briefcase, which was being delivered to the lawyers, either tomorrow or Tuesday, that would shake up the entire home entertainment industry. No details though.
