Bound?! This is great news. Really hoping Arrow can work its accustomed magic on this one.

A few minutes ago Arrow posted on their Facebook page that the announcement will be made at 9:30am - that's in just over 25 minutes.

I don't think the above leak is entirely right, it doesn't stack up with the teaser video. But I guess we'll know soon enough, as the announcements are due in around 20 minutes!

Had no idea. Did they restore Rabid too? Certainly both films in the past have looked pretty poor, at least the editions I own, which is why I was hoping for the full works from Arrow.

I've asked Arrow in the past about upgrading Brute Force, so pleased it's finally forthcoming.

I personally prefer Tokyo Drifter, but Branded To Kill is still a welcome addition to the collection. I actually quite enjoyed Pistol Opera also! Suzuki recently turned 90 this year, I'm expecting not, but wonder if a new interview was shot for this release?

No, I don't think they've restored Rabid unfortunately. There's some info on the Shivers restoration here:

"A TIFF digital restoration in partnership with Technicolor Creative Services Toronto. Colour correction was supervised by David Cronenberg.

[The] digital restoration was assembled from various elements archived at Cinémathèque Québécoise, principally from a 35mm print of They Came From Within, the US-release version. At David Cronenberg's urging, we have rebuilt the Canadian title card to return the film to its proper name, Shivers. "

Doesn't look like we're getting early bird offers anymore

So far all the same except that Shivers is no where to be seen, but Remo and the Beast are there too!

Seems "Night of the Comet" is the same as the sf release extras wise, probably won't double dip.

"Our Summer slate is now fully announced! What are you most looking forward to?"

Should I be really cheeky and reply "Everything I paid full whack for being half price in the Christmas sale!"

Nice line up though, glad it wasn't completely spoilt this morning.

Shivers is the last one, it appears.

Just a tiny bit disappointed that there's no Mona Lisa/Long Good Friday. These were said to be arriving in the third quarter (July/August/September) and the 15 titles announced are coming out in that period.

No worries, I've plenty of other stuff to keep me going, and I don't mind waiting a little.

From that lot, Shivers for me.

Really disappointed. The early bird offers seem to have died, and it seems we were misled with Bava being in the unknown section of the Q3 teaser. Which is a bit of a shit thing to do considering how long we've been waiting for another Bava release.

Nice to see that someone asked Arrow on Twitter again about Ginger Snaps

Also that leak I posted earlier seemed to be correct. Salvatore Giuliano was added to that list but I copied it before it was amended. Granted there were also a couple of other titles announced as well as the confirmed date for Rabid Dogs

I wonder why L'Assassino was delayed. I'm sure it was supposed to come out this week originally

You forgot Remo is your leak earlier. But besides that, yes it was correct

They weren't actually said to be Q3 releases. In fact, I don't think they've even been announced as 2014 releases - have they?

--

Shivers is a great announcement, and I hope that Arrow can secure Cronenberg's early shorts as extras - it would be great to see Transfer, From the Drain and his early TV work ('Jim Richie Sculptor' through 'In the Dirt').

Branded to Kill looks to be a superior package to the Criterion on paper. I can't find much info on the bonus roman porno film, Trapped in Lust, but I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Salvatore Giuliano is a wonderful film, and I'm pleased that Arrow will be releasing it. I'll probably get the Stray Cat Rock collection as well - I've got no idea if I'll like the films but I don't want to risk missing out considering it's limited to 2000 copies.

As long as I know they're coming (and I presume the fact that work has started - even if it's in its early stages - means they'll probably show up within the next 18 months), that's good enough for me.
