If the PQ is 2/5 for this incredible movie, I will personally go to Christopher Nolan's house and slap him in the face with the case.

Some 'mom and pop' stores put them on the shelf as soon as they get the shipment in. There are also a few online retailers that do the same. I've got a copy preordered from one of them that shipped The Dark Knight to me a couple weeks early. I haven't received a shipping notice yet though.

a local shop by me sells all movies early

i got dark knight from them a month early as well. they had expendables about 2 weeks ago and today had the new twilight movie, ateam, knight and day and some other newer titles.

i only picked up inception because they tend to price the titles higher than normal but i dont mind when i am getting it weeks in advance. i only buy titles from them that i want really bad.

I'm getting tired of WB screwing up the transfers on Nolan's movies. I thought they had turned a corner with Insomnia, but I guess not.

Yeah screenshots never do justice. There is no way a movie like this gets a bad transfer. I personally can't wait for it no matter how it looks but a 5 star PQ transfer helps. BTW this is the best movie of the past 5 years IMO just thought I'd trow that out there.

The music is so loud that you often can't even hear what the characters are saying, at least that is how it was in theaters.

There's really nothing in Inception that hasn't been done before (and better).

Not saying a movie has to be innovative...but Inception isn't inventive or imaginative at all...in fact it pretty much turns away from Imagination and is content with modern warfare levels, despite the promise of seeing amazing and unreal things in the Paris sequences.

Highly disagree with this although I loved both movies.
People just dont realize that Avatar was extremely imaginative in a differrent way.
Heck, they created a new world from scracth.

I've never seen a reverse-heist caper before.

It took a few concepts and combined them in a very creative way. Heist capers are great, but this was a very unique entry in the genre.

do you think the case will be sealed? I ordered the Blade Runner dvd briefcase for my father, but never knew how that showed up either.

I only wonder because I'm thinking maybe if it's shrink wrapped somehow, I would leave it sealed, and buy another packaging option of the movie for my own viewing?

Well, I'm not expecting a plastic wrap like what you see for movies. I'm thinking it might have tight clamps on the handle to prevent someone from opening it.
