I can't see how FF is going to be grounded unless the Human Torch has to spend a month in hospital with severe burns after he flames-on and Reed Richards develops crippling arthritis.
I think when he said "grounded" he was apologizing for being in a comic book film and trying to rationalize taking a big blockbuster paycheck for something that he sees as silly. It doesn't sound like he has much respect, let alone affection, for the genre, but he'll begrudgingly play a superhero because the Avengers forced him to.

Aside from Asgard, The Inhumans (also a part of the FF-verse) or GoG (don't know much about them yet), The FF are supposed to be the -least- grounded superheroes of the Marvel Universe.
The threats they face are planet or even dimension/ universe ending.

What in the flying ...
I sure as hell hope he means, a la Chronicle, where the characters are supposed to be ordinary people thrown into extraordinary circumstances... The "grounded" better stop there for FF4.

Eddie Redmayne has an interesting voice and there's something unique about him so I hope they go with him then.

But here's hoping that Jaime Alexander, Bryan Cranston or Gina Carano can still get cast as Dr. Doom.

Doom should be in the mask the whole movie. He'll cut off one of Reed's limbs. At the end of the movie when Doom is dedeated, they reveal his face.

Bruce Campbell or Nathan Fillion, or don't even make the movie.

If nothing else, it'll be fun to watch a beautiful disaster. The writing and acting could still elevate this thing though.

Grounded does not necessarily equal The Dark Knight. For all we know he could simply mean the story focuses on the characters and doesn't devolve into camp.

Or, this film could be a colossal disaster, I don't really know yet, because I haven't seen a single frame of footage for it. But this is the internet, where every little scrap of information and sometimes A SINGLE WORD is scrutinized and fanboys (not directed at you) absolutely cannot wait to post what a horrible trainwreck the film is going to be. This happens with every single comic book film, every time.

Miles Teller Talks About Cyberbullying Over His Fantastic Four Role...

On Tuesday night’s Late Show with David Letterman, Miles Teller talked briefly about his upcoming role as Mr. Fantastic in the Fantastic Four reboot.
When the audience cheered over Teller confirming his role in Fantastic Four, Teller said, “Much nicer than some of the people on the Internet.”

Letterman then asked Teller what he was talking about.

“Well, you know, this whole trolling and cyberbullying thing is a real deal,” said Teller. “And it affects…nah, I’m just kidding. But a lot of people don’t think I should be playing Mr. Fantastic and all this stuff.”

Letterman asked, “Why not?”

“I don’t know. Everyone’s got an opinion on it,” said Teller. “Well, you know, it was my dad’s favorite comic. I think people have a certain idea of who that person should be. I don’t care about them, Dave.”

Is it odd to only me that everyone who gets casted in a comic book movie grew up with the character they are playing? I smell something. It starts with bullsh and ends it.

It's disgusting, pathetic, and continues to hold my contempt for 20th Century Fox and for Michael B. Jordan.
The sad part is that casting this guy caused this "fire" in the first place. If he can act, who really cares?

He starts out pretending to be the victim of 'bullying' (which means getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to play act and people actually expressing their opinion of his suitability for the job) then says "I don't care" and "it's my dad's favorite"

Give me his paycheck to play super hero and I'll gladly accept all the internet BS that comes with it.

By the way cyber-bullying is when people you know spreads lies and vicious rumors about someone, usually a minor---not nameless nobodies bemoaning your casting in a major motion picture. Grow up.

Once again this cast never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
