I really wish there could be a special edition that has the discs packaged in the genie's lamp and when you rub it the disc pops out and you hear Robin Williams say something funny.

It will be awesome if "Inside the Genie's Lamp" made it. (At least the "guided tour" where Iago manages to find his way inside the Genie's Lamp and hijinks ensue. I'm don't think the "manual tour" will make it (because of the need to convert the DVD navigation to Blu-Ray navigation).)

Also, no sign of song remixes (so far), plus the new Bonus Features look promising! I cannot wait!

Just preordered the Best Buy exclusive. I love the idea of the genie coming in and out of the lamp, and I very much prefer the title being horizontal. I realize the animation doesn't quite look like Aladdin, but whatever.

I just read online that it was announced at the Aladdin reunion at the D23 Expo in California that there will be a new sequence featuring Robin Williams that was originally never completed, included in the Blu-ray release.......

5. There’s a New Sequence as Part of the Blu-ray Release

One of the more heart-tugging sections of the panel involved a tribute to Robin Williams and the news that a sequence that Williams had worked on, but that Goldberg had never actually animated, would be seen on the upcoming Diamond Edition release. Goldberg pored through files and found the original artwork and voice recordings and then did new sketches to go along with Williams’ original tracks. In the sequence the Genie transforms into a number of things, including a boxer. They didn’t show the sequence but you could tell it’s going to be incredible. “It’s really a tribute to Robin,” Goldberg said, choking up. And we did too.

I like the Target one, but I wish it was a slipcover and not digibook, but I will be grabbing the Best Buy edition. A weird cover tbh, but I prefer having exclusives over the regular release.

My only problem with the digibook is that it won't fit well with my other Disney Diamond Blu-Rays as it will be sized differently. I love the way all my Disney Blu-Rays look together as well.

That makes sense.
Most of my other Disney releases are DigiBooks as well...
I'd like to find the Cinderella DigiBook and then I think I'l' have them all...

I have the european disc that is very good but I feel like the Aspect Ratio is cramped at 1.85:1

What about the AR on this disc? 1.66:1, 1.78:1 or 1.85:1?
