Subwoofer, Sean. Subwoofer. Something around $750 from either eD, HSU, or SVS - maybe the MFW-15 from av123 if they've gotten around to resolving the issues they once had with them. |

Morning chaps! Got the new stand, new big 5'x7' area rug, and the new black leather ottoman ready to go. Now to set em all up and put all the gear back into place, hang some new posters, and see the HT with a new look for the first time...since ever. Whooo! First, breakfast...if I can contain my excitement...

I swear I love how you clean up! I am like that at times, I just have to remove everything and clean the whole thing.
Believe me, I don't do it often, but I get this overwhelming feeling to do stuff like that. I realized I was bad when I took the handles and knobs off of all my pots and pans so I could clean them better. When I don't have that over overwhelming feeling, I am lazy as h3ll. |

1. I'm not too fond of the idea of having the screen drop down in front of the TV. 2. The hanging projector off the ceiling would require extensive wiring, and in my case, maybe even in-wall wiring, and I rent this house (even though I'll be renting this house for years to come) 3. I couldn't put the couches far back enough for it to be comfortable to view the screen. 4. While I do have some light control in here (almost...kind of) - I'd be limited to movies in the evening hours thanks to the doors that lead to the back terrace there. 5. I have a Kuro, for chrissakes! 6. If I went projector, I'd have to go all out. I would get that Panny AE4000. But the $2,000 required for a screen/projector are far and out from any budget I'd plan on having anytime soon. In the end, when I buy by OWN house, I'm going front projection gladly. Until then, I love my 5020, Rayden! |

1. I'm not too fond of the idea of having the screen drop down in front of the TV.
I agree with U on that. Build a fixed frame and put the Kuro in the bedroom. 2. The hanging projector off the ceiling would require extensive wiring, and in my case, maybe even in-wall wiring, and I rent this house (even though I'll be renting this house for years to come) You can shelf mount the PJ. I don't know if your house will allow it. 3. I couldn't put the couches far back enough for it to be comfortable to view the screen. How far are the couches? I sit 10-11 feet from a 120" screen. 4. While I do have some light control in here (almost...kind of) - I'd be limited to movies in the evening hours thanks to the doors that lead to the back terrace there. Place Blackout curtains. 5. I have a Kuro, for chrissakes! You will forget it once you go FP. 6. If I went projector, I'd have to go all out. I would get that Panny AE4000. But the $2,000 required for a screen/projector are far and out from any budget I'd plan on having anytime soon. Unfortunately, we are all limited by money. In the end, when I buy by OWN house, I'm going front projection gladly. Until then, I love my 5020, Rayden! I can't wait to see what crazy clean things you will do when you get a house. Very nice looking JJ, I showed my wife cause I want to do something like that too, although I cannot hang the TV on the wall because I have windows that cover the entire side of that "wall" (u can see the blinds in my gallery) So I want to get the stand that has the TV mount built onto it. But she liked it. Maybe I will be able to make 2 upgrades early this year....
