Pet Sematary (1989) is bad. Real bad. The acting is terrible, there is no tension or suspense...other than the killer theme song by Ramones, there is nothing worthwhile about this movie. A talented director might have been able to do something interesting with it. Instead, we got Mary Lambert.

Liking Nolan is normal (and nothing wrong with that). And disliking his narrative abilities seems of the norm, as if late due to his latter films being too jumbled.

So we get it. You like him and his Batman version.

Let us enjoy our Batman versions too.

"Too jumbled" yet, Dunkirk was a very polished product that was praised for it's technical aspects and great directing.

My opinion is the one shared by the majority, actually. Meanwhile this site seems to be the most Anti-Nolan site i've ever seen. Do you know why? Liking Batman Returns and hating all 3 of Batman films, seems pretty clear that the problem is not Batman or DC, but people disliking Nolan for the sake of being Nolan.

I see far more hate for Nolan rather than even Bay or Snyder in this site. It seems like any single director or movie is better or can be argued to be better than TDK (again, there was some critics but not full hate like I see here) or his directing ability (as it was nothing).

I had never seen that comparison with Batman and Robin, which is one of the worst films ever made and killed Batman for a few years until Nolan single-handly brought it back with his masterpiece Batman Begins.

I don't have time neither energy to talk with em, so anyone who hates TDKR or Nolan with extreme hyperbole gets on my ignore list, forever. Especially if they like David Lynch.

He's the Micheal Bay version of David Cronenberg.

The best part about Cronenberg's magnificent career and the comparison with his "rival" Lynch, is not just the fact that it makes Lynch's movies to be total abominations and seem like the generic, poorly written, style-over-substance, nonsensical messes they truly are, but have allowed the masses to take a look at Lynch's entire directorial resume and see it for the overhyped tripe it's been since the exposition heavy version of Dune blackened cinema over 3 decades ago. Films like Inland Empire (If we can call that a dream) are being referred to more and more as "dull pretentious movie with no plot" with every passing year, and the vast majority of his MacLachlan and Laura Dern collabs have been exposed for the flat, repetitive "narratives" and cliche stock characters (Frank Booth, the phantom etc) they've always displayed.

Congratulations to David Cronenberg for completely expunging Lynch's entire filmography from the minds of future film watchers and curb-stomping him right out of pop culture relevance.

Not sure if this is unpopular or not but the opening act of JW:Fallen Kingdom is up there with anything in the first couple movies. Then the rest of the film happened.

4. What a gross oversimplification of Nolan's filmography. That's like saying The Terminator is a fantastic Cameron film, and then dismissing Aliens, Titanic, etc due to being more commercial and suited for the general audiences..

Even without TDK trilogy, Nolan still has Dunkirk, Interstellar, Insomnia, Prestige, Following, Inception AND Memento. That alone is a list that most directors DREAM of having on their resume. And it does not seem to be suited for "children" as it’s just blockbuster filmmaking.

Yeah the opening act of the film is great then it just goes down hill and that coming from someone who owns the steelbook.

I don't think that actually proves they're for children. It seems like a more serious, gritty and mature take on superheroes. Not like the "Happy Madison" of superheroes named MCU.

You don't like the MCU right? Thumbs up.

I wouldn't call Oldboy or Logan for children yet they're comic book movies.

Kids have always been a large part of the audience for these films.

You don't like the MCU right?

Not even a little bit.

I wouldn't call Oldboy or Logan for children yet they're comic book movies.

I didn't say all comic movies are for children, but most of the major ones are aiming for that market.
