Not even a little bit.

I didn't say all comic movies are children, but most of the major ones are aiming for that market.
Are they suited for the general audiences? Sure. But that applies to any blockbuster, i'm pretty sure back in the day people went to see Terminator expecting a great action flick with Arnie.

I don't like it either.

Yes, that's a fair take. Batman does have his fans, but i wouldn't say for children, mostly because when WB wanted to sell toys and made a lighter Batman... B&R happened.

Kids love Batman. I know I did.

Batman
Batman Returns
Batman Forever
Batman & Robin
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises

They all had a ton of merchandise:

Backpacks
Cereal
Markers
Stickers
Action Figures
Video games
Board Games
Toothbrushes

Of course they do. Batman is my favorite all-time character since i was... a kid.

I'm pretty sure everyone did grown up with a superhero, and probably watched his movies over and over. I was just referring to the movies themes, and tone.

I don't like Batman Returns, but i remember reading that the initial reaction was that it was too dark, and it was divisive. That's the reason why we got Batman Forever, which was more lighter and campy.

Is that why you just started a new thread an hour ago where the words "David Lynch" are in the title of the thread? Because you don't want to talk about David Lynch again yet?

I’m sure this will be unpopular so....

Jurassic Park just doesn’t hold up on repeat viewings. The first half hour or so are a great setup but then once the annoying kids take center stage and Hammond becomes disinterested in what’s going on the film slows to a crawl. It’s actually dull. Like right after the TRex initial scenes. The film of cours wowed me as a kid but I’ve lost all interest in ever watching to again. Tried the other night and lost interest about halfway through.

No, I won't.

I'll avoid talking about him for a while.

I hate his films still and that will never change i guess.

Wild at Heart is up there with Blue Velvet, Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive.

If he made more art like Straight Story and Elephant Man I wouldn't complain.

Fire Walk With Me is probably one of the best TV related films ever and should be his most talked film, in my unpopular opinion.

Dune gets too much flack (despite my love for the novel and desire for a faithful version).

Lost Highway and Inland Empire are underrated masterpieces.

But I don't wanna talk about Lynch.
