Same here, Part 2 is not going to be shipped out for a couple more weeks but I did get the shipping notice for 3-5. I'll be happy to watch Part 4 to see the improvements and finally have a release where the audio is synced up properly to the picture and not freeze up entirely.

This clip reminds me of another thing I hate about the remixes: they removed the pitch shift in the theme when Michael hits the brakes.

And if you look at the comments, someone is celebrating the fact it is finally "fixed" into the "original pitch".

I doubt the pitch shift was ever intentional. I mean, I like it and it sort of enhances the uneasiness of the scene, but it was most likely a mistake.

Just to put the geometry controversy well and good to bed, I threw the opening title into AutoCAD. Here's a perfect circle superimposed over the letter O in Halloween. Looks spot-on to me, assuming this is a valid reference for a perfect circle (obviously, disregard the washed-out colors - it's a raw cap without HDR/SDR conversion applied to it).

Sure. It'll have to be the Blu-ray from the box set as I don't own the Lionsgate 4K anymore. Be about 30-45 mins (gotta rip the disc).

I actually agree with this. I just wanted to put the issue to bed, because several people kept saying the new disc had screwed up the correct geometry, and that's clearly not the case. In fact, my contention then and now was that the difference is so incredibly small that no one would ever notice it one way or the other. On the other hand, for those who argue that they WOULD notice, the new ratio is apparently MORE correct than the old one. Just putting the info out there for those who want/need it.

It apparently has its fans. Personally, I found the colors far too desaturated for my personal taste, to the point that I found it basically unwatchable. But if that wasn't your experience, enjoy away. Having more viewing options is always a good thing.
