And I watched "The Matrix" this morning.Video was Great and the Audio was good as well. But nothing really special(Though the Helicopter into the Glass Building was Awesome)

But I tried all my settings and it just didn't sound as good as I expected. But it may just be me.

I do hope they go ahead and give you the Benefits You Most Certainly Deserve.
I hope the rest of your day goes Great,Aero.

And look forward to chatting with you again,my Friend.
Todd, it sounds like you're doing everything right in order to get the HD audio. I'm not sure what the issue could be?

Although I will say that I was somewhat letdown by The Matrix's audio track. I remember it being very good in the theater (academy award-winning) and on DVD, but compared to many other more current tracks, it seemed to be front-heavy and not particularly engrossing. At least in my opinion, but I've heard a lot of audio tracks that were better.

Hey Todd!

I hope you're feeling well these days. I also hope you get the Audio problems taken care of! I myself have just about had it with the stupid jet-plane fan from my PS3 and the goofy controller/remote. I plan on switching it out soon with (like almost everyone else) an Oppo!

Boy I am going through withdrawl symptoms after watching the World Cup Soccer matches on my projector and volume at full blast! I now have to wait until 2014 to enjoy it again!

Hi vega! I am one of those that transitioned from the PS3 to the Oppo. In a nutshell, I love it!

Hey Paul and Vega,my Friends.Hope you are both enjoying your day.

It is just a glitch I have with Two Blu-Rays(But cant remember what the other one was, now)But I have already planned on getting a newer Blu-Ray Player(Since this is from 2008)And I can give it to my Sister and introduce them to Blu-Ray.

I dont know what I want exactally. But as long as its affordable and offers Good Pic Quality.Because I would rather have a seperate player for my CD's and SACD's.

But I would love an Oppo(Price may keep me away for now). But if I dont get HDMI ver 1.4(For 3-D) I wont Plan on Keeping it for a long strech(But I would like to see how 3-D does develop).

So Vega,my Friend Keep me updated on your Search for a new Blu-Ray Player.
And Paul,I will say this, you laid a tremendous Foundation to build upon.

Hey progers!

I already know that once I make the change, I will not look back! I am not a gamer, so I will not miss much and the stand-alone player that doesn't sound like an airport should be a welcomed change! PS3 has been a nice stepping stone, but it's time for change.

And Thanks for the info on the Pioneer BD Players.
WiFi isn't a huge issue with me(As I wont say No to a player that didn't offer WiFi)
I am wondering about HDMI v. 1.4 for 3-D Use.If that is really going to work out well.

Or maybe just a Newer Player with better Pic Quality and not worry about 3-D quite yet.But I will give Pioneer a look when that time finally arises.

(And enjoy the BBQ)Weather doesn't look to promising here. So,I have No idea what I may grab in a short while.
Todd for me I have no interest in 3d as of yet I want to give it a few more years when the prices drop on the media a long with the availability of 3d blurays and so they can work out all the bugs and hopefully you wont need 200 dollars glasses to view it . 3d does have my attention and have scene it at my local bb and have to admit I was very impressed with disc being played and the display but I have no desire for it at this time and very content with old school 2d Weather is cloudy today with a high of 74 so much different then 100 plus degrees like it was a few days ago although I like the heat it happen pretty fast and wasnt use to it . Back to the BDP I really think you'd be happy with a Pioneer soley for BD and DVD's .

Well I certainly appreciate your feedback.
And I am Sincerely Taking it all to Heart(with the system you have already assembled)

I know you know what quality Looks,Sounds, and Feels Like.
I guess when the time arrives I will see whats available at what price.

Upscale isn't a big issue either(As the SACD Player does a tremendous job on Standard DVD's).
So value(Bang for the Buck)Good Pic and Audio Quality.

If it did play SACD's I wouldn't mind 5.1 or 7.1 Analog Inputs.As well as a DSD HDMI Connection.Ethernet Connection,Yes.

Built In WiFi(Not a Necessity if they offer a module to make it a Wi-Fi Player)Because I dont know if I would even use it.

Then Loading Speed,Need for Updates,Build Quality, and its own nice set of chips,in case I ever need it to decode.

So if I do look at Pioneer(About what time or model started the production occurring from Sharp).

I know exactly what you mean! I initially bought my PS3 for gaming, but it has since become my delegated blu-ray player and little else. It serves well, but I reached a point where I wanted a stand alone player. The fan noise was one aspect; the audio and decoding capabilities of the Oppo were another. The DVD upscaling is an improvement over the PS3, and the subtitle shift feature is also nice to have for those of us with projectors. All in all, I have been very pleased with the purchase. I'm certain you would be as well.

The Oppo BDP-83(in any of its many forms)is an incredible machine.

For the price its inbeatable. But that is what holds me back is the price.Even the BDP-80 is over $300 with shipping,if I remember Correctly.

If anyone wanted to make a very wise investment in their Home Theater System~Audio System~Or Both.Starting with the Oppo is the wisest move that you could make.

Maybe one day,for me.But with your Wonderful Set-Up,Vega.It would fit right in with your other Gear.

As for me I want to stay below $200(Perferably around $150)Which is almost Two of the Magnavox Blu Ray Players at Wal Mart. But I would consider going around $220.00 for a model like the Sony 570.

I should be capable of improvement over the Blu-Ray Player I currently have.At a price that fits in with my budget correctly.

Your System is incredible. You chose great quality components that have given you the Sound and Video you were searching for.

I know no matter how awesome,we seem to want more(Or at least in my case)Also I think there well be areas in the Menu's and settings,I will never use.Like all the Equalizer settings on the AVR.And room size, parameters, and all the options it contains.

With your system there might be some areas you chose not to delve into too deeply.

But like I said about Paul's system was built on a Solid Foundation, just like Yours.

So what did you consider BBQ'ing today(if you have the chance to BBQ)

Good evening Todd. I am having wings with the Buffalo wing sauce you sent, for dinner tonight. Late meal. Getting ready to pop in a blu, and enjoy some wings with carrots and ranch with an ice cold Budweiser Select on the side. Thanks again for the package, and keep your eyes open.

The forest fight scene must sound amazing with the SVS brothers! I am looking at my blu-ray shelf right now trying to decide what to watch. Sometimes alot of movies in your collection can be a pain.
