That's rich, coming from someone who spends every waking moment on this board in an attempt to make Favreau's and Russo's production (and every other film Marvel's produced in the last 12 years) look like the 2nd coming.

Okay. I you must be trolling now.
But if you're being legitimate, then you're being ironic and illogical.

You go on about opinions and how one can't claim one is better than the other because of subjective.
Yet you just said (and deleted) that Nolan beats anything over MCU. Why? Isn't that subjective?
I hate MCU. I think it's everything wrong with movie making and it's damaging cinema. But I also wouldn't say that Nolan is better than it because he do is problematic since he's a "auteur" like name that carries his own set of problems with filmmaking. I would say after Inception he lost his way (though Dunkirk is brilliant and I was looking forward to him challenging himself with something like that - he didn't since Tenet is compelling trash). He's to Millennial film fans/aspiring filmmakers, what Tarantino was to Gen X.
But this is all my subjective analysis on MCU, Nolan and the industry. I can see others saying that the MCU is doing fantastic things by bringing comics to life, advancing technology in film in astounding ways and allowing BIPOC individuals have a voice (even if it's hampered by studio higher ups).

To boil up my rambling in a messy bow: we get it. You love Nolan. I like Nolan too. For real. I have all his work. And there's others here who do like him too. And crazy enough, there are others who don't. Cool.
But at the end of the day, this is unpopular opinion.
Maybe liking Nolan here is unpopular, but I highly doubt it.
But the constant going on is getting tired. Maybe bring up a filmmaker you haven't mentioned yet. Example: Jeff Nichols is the most important working filmmaker of the 21st Century.

I think every here just want to talk other things than Nolan. And maybe just cool it on the Lynch hate. We get it. You hate him. Move on.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just Happy Madison for Superheroes. No, scratch that, at least Sandler and Co. made Kat Dennings tolerable.

Nolan's films are better and it's not even close, every single MCU film drips with incompetence and confuses confusing for complex, The Prestige, Inception and Memento manages to balance complexity in its intriguing plot and rich, fascinating characters.

I do like that particular director more than the MCU, actually. Because the MCU is everything wrong with filmmaking today, just a giant TV series directed by talentless hacks and awful writers that just resort to spectacle instead of good storytelling.

Have you read hundreds of my posts to decide that? The ironic thing is you've been here a whole two months and you're drowning the forum with posts about Nolan being the second coming.

What is really rich, is that your account was created in December of 2020. How would you know what he has posted for the last 12 years.

So which banned user are you?

With the stunning amount he posts, i know he doesn't have time to go and read my old posts. I mean God forbid a couple of hours go by without talking about Nolan.

They always give themselves away. No new user joins a site with this much anger about a series of movies. Unless they are already aware of the nature of posts here already.

It is like a murder mystery only the suspect is in the corner feeding you all the clues.

I'm no banned user, stop with the accusations.

Anyways, you didn't exactly get my post. The MCU started in June 2008, and as i said "every film Marvel's produced in the last 12 years" which means that he likes the MCU and just talks about that and about anything produced since Iron Man, he acts like it's great as far as i have seen from two or three threads.

When did i mention that he only posts about Marvel? I said that he's mostly someone who talks good about Marvel and doesn't answer to my perfectl y fair criticism, and also his account also started in 2011, which is 10 years ago, there's no way i could have possibly known about what John was doing in 2008.

I simply dislike the MCU since years. Google Squaremaster it up and you'll find that. I just recently criticized them here, which is again perfectly fine.

I have seen enough posts about you complaining about my opinion, which is valid as any. I don't like MCU and it's simple as that.

I do like Nolan, which seems to be some kind of Marvel's enemy recently.

I'm going to put you in my ignore list, feel free to do the same.

Probably not unpop but Truffaut > Godard. So much so, that I dislike Godard.

But to your latter comment...

To your opinion, as the great
[Show spoiler]Vanessa Hudgens
once said "...I get it, I respect it."
Maybe it's cause I'm a Akira Kurosawa nut, that I will stand firm on that popular opinion. Like Toshiro Mifune would in any of his films.
