Yeah I'm not sure how ready he will be, I can see Trickett winning the job due largely in part to experience and familiarity with the system. 2013 brings a lot of uncertainty for me with all of the key departures.

Yeah Trickett has looked good the times he has played. I think we will be alright on defense, we a lot of young guys coming back. We hired Alabama DB's coach as our D coordinator, so I hope he can come in and do a good job.

The young guys will definitely have to step up with 6 members of the front 7 likely to graduate/declare for the draft. I don't think we are going to get any love in the preseason polls, wouldn't be surprised if we start 12 or higher in both the AP and Coaches.

Relatively speaking ACC had a good bowl season. Wins over USC, LSU and a BCS game win.

The Florida Gators have sold just 7,000 of the 17,500 tickets allotted to the school for the Sugar Bowl. Louisville has sold over 15,000, nearly all of theirs. That's just sad. Florida might lose money on this as they have to cover the unsold tickets.

Even when it comes to college football fans in the state of Florida are very fickle. Living in central Florida I see probably 1/3rd or less of the Gators car bumper stickets and team flags that were on the roads when Tebow was there.

Fair weather fans are all over the country, not just Florida. I live in Tennessee (not raised here, raised in Chicago so I'm not a fan of any Tennessee team), and this is supposed to be UT Vol country. One of UT's biggest rivals is Alabama. I see Alabama license plates, hats, clothes, car stickers, etc. etc. etc on a daily basis. Five or six years ago, you rarely ever seen anything Alabama related around here. People here make me sick with all this newfound Alabama love, considering how much of a hated rival they are to Tennessee. People have no loyalty these days. What fun is it to always be a fan of whoever is winning at the time? The best part about being a fan is feeling the excitement of a great season because you know the sting of some down years. I can't stand the Tennessee Volunteers, but I have respect for the real fans that still support their team even in these past couple tough years.

my thoughts exactly! guy could barely win the Big 10, he expects to win the SEC AND a NC? with his coaching skills?

And look at how stacked the SEC West is now. Alabama and LSU are top teams just about every season and Texas A&M is going to be a contender for a national title for at least a few more seasons. If Arkansas finishes 4th in their division it will be a good year.

I think a big factor in that is Florida fans pursuing tickets via the secondary market as opposed to the university. You can grab tickets for as low as $30 on StubHub where regular face value is over $100.

Since Florida didn't sell a lot of tickets, i'm hoping that gives Louisville a better chance at winning. I doubt it but I hope they win.
