I should try price matching a couple things from London Drugs tomorrow. When I was there on Saturday, this one guy in the electronics section was telling me that they would price match any prime deal.

Edit: It is advertised on their home page as well: https://www.londondrugs.com/ldhome/

Good on London Drugs for doing this.

Amazon.ca let me sign up for another free trial so I got Gotham By Gaslight UHD and Tully. There were 3 other UHDs that I was interested in but I spent way too much this last month so I passed on them. Should not have gotten the PS VR. Really regretting that purchase now.

A bunch of the deals look like they're dead now. Futurama and Dark Knight Trilogy 4K for sure.

Never been a PRIME member, A few questions,

A) IF I sign up for a free trail, can I cancel ASAP and not get billed for a membership? do I get all 30 days of the trial?
B) IS the same Prime membership valid in both Amazon.ca and Amazon.com? I see that Harry Potter Complete set 4K is $80 US, and already sold out here in Canada. So I was thinking of jumping on the US offer.

Any info greatly appreciated.

A) Yes you can cancel right away and still retain the remaining 30 days of your trial membership.
B) No, US and Canada Prime memberships are different and you would need to sign up (and pay) for both.

Thanks,

That sucks that they are not interchangeable. I missed out on the Harry Potter 8 File Set in 4K, says temp out of stock now, doubt they get stock to honor the Prime Deal again. US has it for $80US,

What to do,

I cancelled it the first time I subscribed but since I'm buying a lot of stuff from marketplace sellers the free shipping is totally worth the $80 membership. Now with the one day shipping it's even better and the best part is that even weekend days count. You should have bought the HP set yesterday it was $94.99 CAD for prime members.

I guess there is no "holding out" for the 4K release? (Platoon) be weird to have another release in months being a 4K, might jump on this. Great looking SB.

Been reading on the main thread that there could be limited number available, something like 10,000?

I'm really not understanding this prime days thing. If I navigate through the home page to DVD and bluray deals, almost all of them that I click, there's no further prime discount. For example, the Vietnam War PBS thing. Some of them have that little prime banner, others don't. Is there no simple way to see the actual prime deals?

You have to watch out for the Marketplace sellers that are lowballing Amazon to get their price on the main page. Make sure you are buying from Amazon directly to get the Prime deals.

I decided to pass on all the 4K deals seeing as I don't own a 4K TV or player. I'm hoping the day I do upgrade, some of these releases end up being $9.99 or less

If you upgrade in 2023, probably, if you're planning to upgrade pretty soon it sure won't. the HP set for under $100 was great, I got the Purge trilogy for $29.99, American made, The Lego Batman Movie and In the Heart of the Sea for $14.99 a piece. 14 4k movies for less than $200 with the taxes is awesome.

I figure worst case scenario it'll go on sale for $14.99 again during Black Friday/Boxing Day or the next Prime day.

I joined the blu-ray party quite late, so 2023 is not out of the question for me lol.
