TRICK OR TREATS was available for a hot second. I considered picking it up, but $40 was way too much. Looks like they’re all gone already.

Looks like a second version of Dead Pit with new artwork gets the Rolex treatment, 2nd pressing will undoubtedly take away value for those who invested their retirement funds into the first release

I think it’s a good idea?

DEAD PIT actually sold out fast. People asked for a repress and here it is.

And it doesn’t diminish the “value” of the first release for those who care about that stuff (I don’t), since it’s a completely different cover.

You must not remember the people that got upset over the TT reissues even though they had different wraps.

Nope. I usually don’t pay any mind to it.

I’m a “cool, more people have a chance to get it” kind of guy.

I'm fine with represses too and I also don't care if the repress has the same exact cover like Bill's recent BBNM. I obviously don't buy these releases for collectibility nor expect increased value so it's a moot issue to me. I got a chuckle out of the variant number though as it reminded me of all of the comic book cover art variants from back in the day.

The difference is Twilight Time never said there would be a repress , while Dark Force said before the first LE went on sale that there would be a repress after the LE sold out

More bending the truth from Ruined. They said they would reissue a slipless version.

So the second press gets the better execution. So DF it's ridiculous.

And? Is that not a repress?

Twilight Time said 3000 copies then they are gone, then repressed stuff, making people think they couldn't buy the movie if they didn't buy the first batch.

Dark Force said from the get go there would be a repress , so totally different situation.

Also how is this different than Arrow releasing a slipcover limited edition, then after that sells out a previously undisclosed steelbook limited edition, then a standard edition after that sells out?

Yes, 3000 for that version.

Did he, I seem to recall Dave being on the fence initially about offering a repress.

Nah dude when Twilight Time first started they gave the impression that it was 3000 copies period. That is how they made so many sales at first. Once they broke that and it became evident they would repress stuff fairly soon after initial sellout, their sales slowed a ton.

Yup it's been quoted in this thread several times , he said on Facebook before the 1st LE was released that there would be a repress.

Why is it better? Genuinely curious.

I'm much happier with the first cover, as that's the VHS box I remember from the video store days. That's what I would've wanted.

Because it doesn't have the horrible GitD frosting on the zombie.
