Well said. There are also a lot of potential members lurking about. I am surprised at the overall negativity coming on folks who are a little concerned. Everyone handles this differently.

I understand but you can't react to every little blip. You have to look at the big picture. Two questions - aside from getting an ulcer what good is it going to do? Will any thing change the final outcome?

If it were a major statement by a big company - sure we need to ask questions, but a hourly or daily changes in the sales numbers, or a BOGO event, or reading tealeaves in why a company delays a movie. To me this is plain crazy. You take a look at the insiders thread and you see how many time PM has to answer the same type of questions. He has already stated everything appears to be on track, and if things changes he will let us know. How about believing him!

The reality is we are constantly finding people joining to spread FUD. They aren't here to be assured, they are here to cause concern.

In most leadership situations there is at least some vetting of the people the leaders are supposed to be leading.

Imagine the cumulative effect over time of constantly seeing these infiltrators.

Well, back on topic..There are articles on Home Media Magazine and Hollywood Reporter stating that The Simpsons was easily the #1 DVD for last week! No mention of High Def at all. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but DON'T expect any numbers to be released tomorrow. There is a "war" going on, and everybody is on vacation We NEED our numbers!

Usually on Thursday they announce the top selling titles in Blu-ray and HD DVD. I don't believe that the numbers have been "worked" yet. Hopefully, we will know tomorrow.

Nobody is saying it cannot be discussed. Rather, what some of us are saying that the constant badgering of the Insiders like Penton-Man and Maxpower1987 is getting tiresome and ridiculous.

As I've said elsewhere here, start a thread in the off-topic area, and put it in PERSPECTIVE. You'll find some of the veterans here will be happy to assist and laugh at some of these HD DVD idiots like rdjam who are spreading rumors. What we do object to is the constant "ZOMG, some guy on another forum is saying his uncle's brother's wifes sisters daughter slept with some executive from WB, and he told her that WB is going HD DVD. We're all doomed. Is this true? ZOMG." A better way to get a response would be to approach it as follows in the off topic area, "Hey guys, there's some posts over on another forum by someone named rdjam, and he says his blah, blah, blah, and that WB is going HD DVD. How can this be true? What do you guys think?"

See the difference?

Very well said. But trust me 99% of the people asking the same questions from the Insiders, and posting baseless rumors are NOT newbies. How would they know to come here and spread FUD in the insiders thread. They are Trolls plain and simple . BTW, I welcome another thread of "Don't Call people Troll". If it reads and writes like Trollish and it smells of Troll, the it is a.......TROLL.

It is my firm belief (with some personal experience to add) that a BIG part of these FUDsters can be turned "purple" and even blu by indisputable reasoning and proud dignity.

True. And I applaud the Moderation and the Expertise provided by blu-ray.com so far. And to you personally, of course...

My only wish that you will not give up...

Well obviously - you don't.... see the difference between what was written in my post and what you understood from it...

Really sorry to hear that.

Ummm, ok.

The point you are missing is that a good portion of these people are trolls. They aren't going to be turned purple. For those with legitimate concern, they should read my previous post in this thread, and approach it that way. That's the bottom line.

61:39 Blu-ray
Twas the week before Christmas and all through the house,
my prediction was stirring not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung on the chimney with care,
while The Bourne Ultimatum will lead the week in sales.
The children were all snuggled all snug in their beds.
While visions of The Simpson’s danced in their heads;
And mamma in her ‘kerchif, and I in my cap,
Saw Pirates 3 not settle down for a long winter’s nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see Harry Potter matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
And was surprised to see another Harry Potter on the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave Planet Earth a continued spectacular glow,
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and free,
I knew in a moment it must by Spiderman 3.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
“Now, Transformers! Now, 300! Now, Planet Earth and Blade Runner!
On, Blade Runner! On Ratatouille! On Shrek the Third and Die Hard 4!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Now Superbad you need to dash away all!
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet Oceans 13 as it mounts to the sky,
So up on the house-top The Departed it flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and The Silver Surfer too.
Not to be outdone James Bond did appear,
With Casino Royale picking up the rear!
But in the end it doesn’t matter who came first, second or third,
At the end of the week who was leading the herd?
While the more things change the more they stay the same,
61 is the number that Blu will claim.
Things are looking good for High Def on shiny disc,
Sales continue to grow at a nice strong clip.
Are these signs good or bad for the fanboys to cheer?
Some will claim victory while others will jeer.
At the end of the day the neutral studio will decide,
To go Blu or go Red, will they bridge the divide?
Only they know the answer and we can all guess,
But at the end of the day they will surely choose what they think is best.
But let’s be friends during our high-def plight,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night.”

There really aren't that many pansies. There's just a few very vocal ones, and a few doom-and-gloomers who come in and post negatively about every little thing. Don't let the wet blankets ruin your experience here. Just ignore them.
