It looks like the "while supplies last" was removed from the website. I didn't see it on there when I ordered tonight.

I know I know haha, I just had doubts all of a sudden because it was 2 months ago that I read it and I had to see it again before I cancelled my CLM order. I knew I had read it which is why I ordered from DD, but I just had to see it again...

It was a positive joke about someone actually figuring information out for themselves.

I'm curious if they have stock of the bonus disc left or not the link for their pre-order says available direct from them .. but sounds like they still are offering it?

I can see how it would be too much to look through the pages though for some people, especially those who have not been following them (this one has 40, but on the Friday the 13th collection forum there are over 200 pages). That's why most people just ask because someone will usually have he answer in a matter of minutes.
But yes I try not to ask that stuff, I don't know why I did this time. I guess I was feeling lazy then decided not to be haha.

Do they charge immediately when placing the pre-order on CLM, or is there simply a "hold" on the money until it's charged at shipping?

I ask because my PayPal receipt shows the following:

Payment To 1428 Films LLC Completed

Charge From Credit Card Completed

Your transfer from your credit card to your PayPal account is complete.

So it sounds like the payment has already been collected in full, is that correct? My credit card got flagged by my bank yesterday as being used fraudulently, (somebody was trying to buy shoes with it online), so they cancelled my card and said they were issuing me a new card and number. But I placed this pre-order on August 27th, so I will be getting the bonus disc. If they haven't actually charged the account yet, then it will not go through if they try to later, as the card has been cancelled as of yesterday.

I don't want to lose my order because I ordered in time to get the bonus disc, but I need to find out if this purchase is complete or if it's still pending. I won't be getting my new card until possibly the end of the week or next week, so for now I don't have a card registered at PayPal. I called the phone number that appeared on my PayPal receipt but I was informed by a nice gentleman that there is an error with how they were listed by CLM, and while they are in charge of replicating and shipping the discs, they don't handle the billing, so he was unable to verify that for me. He did say that it might be a hold and not an actual charge, but the PayPal receipt looks like a charge. I'm wondering how at this point I can switch my payment info over to another payment option like my debit card if it's just a hold. If the transaction is complete than I don't have to worry about that.

Paypal payments are processed immediately. Credit Card Payments are put on hold until it ships. If you used your credit card through paypal then you were already charged and are fine.

Okay, glad to hear it. Yeah, I used my credit card through PayPal, so I guess that means it's already paid and taken care of. That's one less thing to worry about.

Will pick this up soon.
I read his first book, Making Friday the 13th, which covered the whole series. It was very obvious that he loved the first F13 and disliked a lot of the rest. Was strange to read a book about the series in that negative tone. He was even careless enough to described the ending of The Final Chapter as Tommy disguised as Jason's mom, which he got a lot of negative feedback for from F13 fans. Then recently Adrienne King had a random Facebook post about the author, saying he took photos from her without permission and quoted her on stuff she never said. Added to the mix is some other guy that says he is writing a F13 book and is in some sort of argument with this author, posting about it all over the place, though none of it really makes any sense. So basically I'm interested in reading this book but I hope I'm not disappointed with any drama or made up information. If you start it soon, let us know how it is!

edit; I see mention of a 2nd printing of Making Friday the 13th with mistakes corrected.

This is $24.99 on Amazon now. I'm seriously considering canceling through CLM.

Yeah, I remember reading about all that too a while back, which is why I never bothered to pick that book up. It just sounded sloppy to me and I didn't want to start reading a book to learn about the series that may have gotten who knows how many facts wrong due to sloppiness.

At this point, if it's true that the bonus disc is now not offered on CLM, then there's really no point in ordering from them direct. You might as well save some cash on Amazon. I'm not certain that's the case though, I'm just going by what was mentioned earlier about the site not mentioning the bonus disc now. But then if you go to the order page it still mentions it so who knows?

Well, damn, I was going to save this for October for my October viewings, but I'm so excited for this release I'm going to watch it this Friday the 13th instead.

I mean, what a perfect day to view that, right?

Has anyone's Dark Del pre-orders been charged? They did say credit cards would start being charged 2 weeks before the day of the signing so I just wanted to see if anyone has yet. Thanks in advance!

I ordered mine on amazon, but got a strange message that they need more time to provide an estimated delivery date. Strange, given that they have a release date.

I got the same message:
We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item. It will ship separately. You can cancel at any time.
