I'm always amazed at your choice of films. Ha ha. Some of these I've never even heard of! Let alone anyone caring enough about them to make a cover.

For Zeppelin, I think a white background would have worked quite well with the poster. The blue makes it look like dark skies.

The almost square format of Blu-Ray IS a challenge when fitting posters. It's where we separate the heroes from the men.

Thanks Nissen.

A number of my favorite movies have not even made it onto DVD yet, never mind Blu-ray.

Thankfully "When Eight Bells Toll" did receive a British DVD release and it's also available for free online (check on imdb's page for the movie).

I imported Swedish DVDs of both "High Road to China" and "Lassiter" and as for "Zeppelin" I have a VCD of that (anyone remember those?).

I often wonder who makes the decision of what to release on DVD and Blu-ray. You'd think that having Anthony Hopkins in "When Eight Bells Toll" would be enough to garner a DVD release, or how about Bob Hoskins, Tom Selleck and Jane Seymour in "Lassiter"

Thanks for suggesting a white background. It did initially have a white background but then I thought people would complain that I was sticking to my template

Default Twilight Saga

Working on a simplified "Special Edition" Twilight saga based on the limited edition white book. Still scanning the hi-res versions for the covers. Very clean, I liked the simplicity of the white books vs the very busy and dark studio releases. Now the back is going to be some work to make it look and feel like the fronts...

Not worried about the red covers looking like HD-DVD, we all know that format is long dead.

I've never read the books and i can't say that i am a fan of the movies... but these are pretty handsome. For the backs i would minimize the number of screenshots to max three or four and continue to utilize the red borders around the images. be careful of crowding, and make sure that EVERYTHING plays back into your concept: simplicity.

Yes it's absolutely brillant.

I uploaded it to use it.
I might add the audio specs 'though (but it's just me) and maybe it will ruin the look.
Still it's one of the best custom I've seen in a couple of months!!!

Thanks. I like the way it looks too.

Putting the credits together I realized that "Zeppelin" and "When Eight Bells Toll" share the same director

Not worried about the red covers looking like HD-DVD, we all know that format is long dead.
Those are very nice and interesting! I, myself, am not a Twilight fan by any means, but I have a much younger half-sister (I'm 32, she's 16) who is really into the books and the movies. In fact, I took her to buy the first movie when it came out on DVD and Blu-Ray (of which she bought both versions since they had an HDTV and Blu-Ray in the finished basement, but only have DVD players in the rest of the house, including her room). She just got the DVD of Breaking Dawn Part 1 and plans to get the Blu-Ray eventually (she would have gotten a combo pack if there had been an option for it, but there didn't seem to be).

I'll have to show these to her. I could see these possibly being up her alley, and if they are, I may have to assit her in her first set of custom packaging for her movies.

By any chance, do you plan to make separate covers for Breaking Dawn parts 1 and 2, or is the idea to put both movies in the same case?

Also, would it be possible (if it's not too much trouble) to show what these covers would look like against blue colored cases? It's not that I'm a "HD-DVD-phobe" or anything like that, and I actually like the look of the red cases with these covers, but in reality alternate colored cases aren't easy to come by (especially in multi-disc form as the situation might be for Breaking Dawn), and blue cases will likely be what actually gets used when all is said and done.

@ dv8pdx

Amazing covers for the Twilight series, they look great! It's an interesting contrast to the book color scheme, which is the same strong red but on a black base.

Do you intend on making Breaking Dawn a multi-disc case, since there are 2 movie parts + bonus discs?

I did the red cases to match the books red pages they used. The red cases are easy to find online without the HD-DVD logo, a 10 pk is $4.99

As for making part 1 & 2, I haven't planned on it yet since really there is only 1 breaking dawn book and the movie is just really 1 movie broken into 2 parts since its too long for one sitting in the theater. It will specify the part 1 and part 2 details on the back. But its an option I can look at for making a case for each. (which in the end I may have to since it will be harder to find a standard sized red case to hold 2 discs without the HD-DVD logo.
Here is a sample of blue case vs red case

the blue case just doesn't have the same pop as the red case.
