I went into 2 big ws today to look at 3 for $50 titles. neither of them had any info up about it so I didn't know what titles were included so I gave up and left. how hard is it to put a sign up or sticker some titles? especially considering they have barely any stock anyway. grrrrr that's why I hate big w, kmart etc.

received from amazon UK.:
green mile
shawshank redemption
precious
downfall
clint eastwood director collection

My local BigW had all the titles on sale and all the shelves/displays where priced with the sale prices. The titles and sale is nothing special on the 3 for $50, so your not missing out on much. They do have some decent $9.84 and $12.87 titles though.

Watched night of the demons, magnum force, hardware and now watching the mechanic. One of the benefits of having a cold is time to watch movies lol

^ Ours is the same as the UK and it's been shown to be upscaled. The US Escape from New York is far superior.

Cheers mate. Was glad I didnt buy it after all. I noticed the remastered version, will pick it up in the future. Just so no one thinks I was being an ass, what I meant by google was more helpful, I typed it in the search, selected appropriate country and it didnt bring up the thread I found via google. Whats with that? Is something not set properly?

oh really? sounds like your store is way on top of it compared with the 2 i went to today. they had stands set up for cheap dvds, and also for the buy 2 get 1 free dvds, but absolutely nothing on the blurays... no prices, nothing. both stores you had to go through them and scan each one to see how much it was (and the scanner didn't say anything about 3 for $50 or anything). maybe i'll give them a few more days and then check again to see if they've set anything up. do you know were there any more titles than the ones in the catalogue? i really want to get girl with the dragon tattoo, and maybe life as we know it, but not really interested in the other titles from the catalogue... was hoping there would be more instore.

Watched Les Miserables 25th Anniversary concert. Fantastic video transfer with bold colours and great lighting effects. Audio was outstanding. Well worth buying if you are into musicals.
Cheers,
Carcuss

My store had a shit load of DVD's for the sale and I mean a shit load, there Blu rays that are advertised however where fairly low stock. I think they only 3 copies of each of the cheaper ones. A Girl With a Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire and both part of the 3 for $50.

I suggest you try your local Sanity, as both those titles are part for there 3 for $40 deal and they way more selection. Here's a link to the titles.
