Lately, I've taken to making snide remarks on SR's FB page (which actually got me booted). This is not done out of malice, but rather frustration at their marketing department. I've been waiting at least six months for the newest version of Deathship. EVERY SINGLE DAY I check Scorpion's and Ronin's website and Facebook pages to check up on it's progress, and still NOTHING.

I've heard so many different excuses as to why it's not out yet. "We're having trouble with the replicators", "the source material isn't good enough", "we have to run it through qc again." WTF? If Detroit took that long to build a car, they'd be bankrupt.

Maybe you should reconsider your marketing techniques. Wait until the (properly made) finished product is actually sitting in boxes on warehouse floors, waiting to be shipped to customers before you start blowing your bugle. I'm expecting the It's Alive trilogy from Scream any day now, and they only announced it in late January. No replicators, source material, qc or any of that bunk.

Having said all that, I do appreciate what Scorpion Releasing does, and I own many of their releases (Humongous, Silent Scream, Don't Go In The House, Don't Answer The Phone, etc.)

Customers will only tolerate missteps so many times. It's time to bring your A game, Walt.

I never said we had issues with the master in death ship. We are just making sure all is OK since it has tons of audio, and Extras/ buttons to QC. Just like Sorority Row, The Church. and Unseen. It is set for late this month unless an act of God occurs and the replication or the fed ex delivery catches on fire then it can change

It really irritates me when I see shit like this. Like, HAVE YOU BEEN PAYING ATTENTION??? Or when there's a bigger (15k) blu-ray "news" page on facebook , and you can tell they've never been on these boards, acts like info from 6 months ago is a scoop.

Their followers will ask a question and they either make up bullshit or have no idea. Like how do you have a news page?

Marketing something as "coming soon", yet still awaits a release date half a year later, qualifies as a big misstep in my book.

Maybe stick with Scream Factory, "horror for normal people"

Oh yeah, didn't Scream announce Cyborg in October and not release it until late April though?

Didn't they delay its release twice because some issues with special features?

Yup. And People *****ed about it being delayed, "why even announce a release date then" was a common question I saw. There are so many releases every week, I can't keep up. I'm completely fine with releases getting pushed back to make sure they are done properly and/or have better special features. House on Sorority Row is a key example, it's a re-release for Walt, he needs to do everything he can to make it worth it for people to upgrade or not buy the "other guys" release. There are people on here that are upset about it even being released again after they bought the last one.

i've advocated that companies like Scream and Arrow not announce release dates, just title acquisitions. they consistently shoot themselves in the feet pushing things back. it seems to happen to Arrow a lot, but they are not public about delays - they just get delayed.

IIRC, Jared mentioned in the Mondo Macabro thread, that there are rights problems that are preventing this from coming out on blu
