Comparing what Abrams did with the 2 Trek films (which IMO were very nicely done, even if they were pretty much remakes) to what Bay has done with Transformers (I have not seen TMNT yet but I don't believe he directed it) isn't fair at all.

They should have used "Awakening Of The Force"...it sounds much better! So I assume this means we'll get the first teaser trailer in time for Christmas? (It's already been announced that filming has been completed.) So they should be able to throw together a first teaser trailer.

if its not attached to the Hobbit, it most certainly will be with Disney's live action Cinderella and or Tomorrowland. (Teasers of course) I would expect the full trailer or perhaps final trailer to be placed with Avengers 2 in May!

They're saying expect the teaser by year's end, and Disney has Into the Woods on Christmas Day. I'd bet it's there.

Hmm, May seems too early for the main/full trailer. I'd guess this early December(?) teaser is a teaser in the truest sense of the word, a kind of "look, it's coming" kind of thing, containing maybe only a few brief shots of some characters and the logo. Then the "proper" teaser trailer could maybe come somewhere around May in time for Avengers 2, and then finally the main trailer around October.

either way once we get the official first look at Episode VII, I wonder if the tease will even show Hamill, Ford and Fisher, or will they use footage of their stuff from the original trilogy or some variation of it. For those of us old enough to have seen the original trilogy in theatres it's going to seem surreal to see those three back in that galaxy, far far away.....

I'm holding hope for a Thanksgiving teaser. Get the merchandising machine rolling right before Christmas.

Though there is some concern...we're going to Disney in Jan, and I've been looking forward to Star Tours and the "Build your own lightsaber/Droid" activity and now I suspect they will be MOBBED.

In any case, I cannot wait.

Seriously. So excited for this movie.

I remember being a kid and hearing rumors after Jedi that the story was going to continue, and then all my hopes and anticipation was diverted to the prequels. They let me down for the most part, but I have no problems wrapping my old hopes and anticipation into the new ones I have for these films.

Go to Downtown Disney and do it there. Last time I was there, you were able to build your lightsaber there.
