Also have this set, and the thickness is the same of a FUNimation LE release, so not a thin flippy-flappy case . Blue border op the top with the Blu-ray logo is part of the box in case you were wondering about that.

Pervy my ass-stuff that's got a lot of stereotypical anime tropes in it is what a lot of individuals like-such as moe, tsundere etc.

Bit of a different Code Geass haul picture than the rest

(Old Bandai set is there to show a correctly standing box)

Contacting RS to try to get a new box.

Further shows how superior the Bandai Entertainment releases were in terms of packaging. If only they were still with us and were still doing LEs. Towards the end it became just manga bundles.

I had the Code Geass CE in my hand at HMV today, but could not pull the trigger. The art box seemed dull and overall quite unimpressive. I will just wait for the 2 regular editions to go on sale.

Not only is my Code Geass box also really crooked, but the spine on mine seems to be slightly more misaligned than Z-95's. I also intend to try to acquire a replacement, though I'm afraid that they are all affected by these issues.

[Show spoiler]

EDIT: Case submitted.

Lol, here is something my 15 year old daughter bought for me as a joke gift - she just gave it to me earlier this evening...

Should have posted this over in the Official Anime thread instead, given the topic going on over there...

nah, I don't do manga or figures or merch, so you won't ever find me anywhere over in that subforum - I didn't realize that section even existed in this forum...

so yeah, just a heads-up - that's a place where you can be, totally free of GWG...

I've had considerably worse wobbly boxes than the Geass CE. I'm thinking the additional weight of the art cards on one side (it's a pretty heavy lil booger) caused the imbalance on glue or materials during the final phases of manufacturing or in the transit and environment. I kinda noticed it had a weird, uneven texture on the bottom. But I'm used to weird wobbly boxes from Arrow and old ADV thin paks.

An honest mistake, for sure. Nothing nefarious at play here.

Good lord those were some incredibly unnecessary and albeit annoyingly convoluted boxes they had going on. I couldn't stand them so I waited for Anime Legends bricks which were much nicer and far more uniform on the shelf than a bunch of incredibly unwieldy boxes.

So, I just opened up my shipping box of Code Geass, since everyone is posting up pics of majorly crooked chipboard boxes - fortunately, the box I got is perfectly square everywhere except the top edge of the side-opening, which is just slightly crooked (you can see the slightly tilted top rear edge of the box in the photo) - but, that will be hidden in the very back when sitting on a shelf, and the top edge doesn't affect how the box sits, so this particular box sits level and is perfectly square around the spine edges. So, maybe I should keep my set after all, lol.

Now if only Funi could have done some attractive, wraparound artwork on the spine of their so-called "CE" box, like was done with the glorious JP LE Akito release... and a 3-case wide chipboard box to store the art cards inside would have looked so much better sitting together with the JP set.

Still going to chuck that damn box of art cards in the trash.

That sucks, yours is definitely misaligned. Good luck with getting a replacement. And I was starting to feel a little bit better about Funi recently, silly me.

yeah, if you examine almost any Funi LE box, pretty much all of them are crooked to some extent - it's like the design of the boxes didn't take into account the thickness of the chipboard where the seams join, so one side panel always ends up 1/8" taller than the other one the box is put together. You'd have thunk they'd have gotten it right by now after all these frickin' years... Then, when they actually do a replacement box run for the Leaning Tower of Psycho Pass, they make the replacement boxes too dang short to slide the BD cases in and out of...

Yeah, I've also had many crooked boxes from Funi over the years (though this one seems to be the worst). What bothers me is the most with my CG is actually the misaligned spine. It'd drive me crazy every time I see it on the shelf, lol.

It's thinner than FUNi But Nadia is indeed the same as Chuni, so it's excellent in my book. I might buy more Animatsu just because of these neat boxes
