(I believe Radiance were negotiating to release Singapore, but that was too expensive(?) and so they got it for Arrow instead. Hopefully the rest of his filmography also find its way to physical media. I think Sweet bunch and Morning patrol have recently been restored in 4K.)
They would be great. I think there was some mention about music rights issues? Hopefully something gets sorted out as I'd love to own those.

Very surprised to see another World Noir announced before Volume 3 is even released, but I'm not complaining.

I understand there are lots of Mexican and Argentinian noirs from the period. Would love to see some of those make an appearance in future volumes for something a bit different.

Daiei didn't actually make a huge number of horror films, so we can probably guess the other titles. I'd predict we might see a couple of these:

The Ghost-Cat Cursed Wall (1958, Misumi)
The Pit of Death (1968, Shima)
The Curse of the Ghost (1969, Mori)
Masseur’s Curse (1970, Yasuda)
The Possessed (1976, Imai)

Leaning towards the Mori for obvious reasons, but Yasuda did Daimajin and a number of Zatoichi and Yokai Monsters films; whilst Shima is only really known for Warning from Space. Imai is a legend in his own right, but for some reason we haven't yet seen any of his work from Radiance, and this is quite a bit later than his heyday. There was a Misumi title in the first set, but yet to see if Radiance will dip into the whole 'ghost-cat' sub-genre (I suppose they could do this one if they were gonna do any, as it's a well-regarded director).

The Pit of Death sounds really interesting as it has been described as a 'horror-noir'. The Mori film seems to be another adaptation of the same story as Kato's The Tale of Oiwa's Ghost, so that could be interesting too.

Of course they could do two Tanaka titles and include The Demon of Mount Oe (looks delightfully crazy from the footage I just saw), but on the other hand they may want to have a range of directors like the first set.

My overall prediction?

The Pit of Death (1968, Koji Shima)
The Curse of the Ghost (1969, Kazuo Mori)
Haunted Castle (1969, Tokuzō Tanaka)

Music rights would obviously pose problems for Sweet bunch or Wretches are still singing.

However, Morning patrol's score consists exclusively (if I'm not forgetting something) of Hadjinassios' excellent original compositions. I could see the various snippets of older film noirs and musicals being projected at various points throughout posing problems though. Big combo among them might be public domain, but the rest, Band wagon, Gilda and Dick Richards' remake of Farewell my lovely among them, aren't. Not sure how that works out.

Since you're a fan of Morning patrol, I'll take this chance to repeat my recommendation for Karypidis' excellent (and unjustly underseen and forgotten) In the shadow of fear (photography by Angelopoulos' and Breillat's doP Arvanitis, which this murky copy certainly doesn't do justice), that I recently revisited online after maybe 15-20 years since its last screening(!):

https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8pkgrd

Funny coincidence: this one intercuts the climax of Zabriskie point being aired on TV, which should be problematic as well... (Not that anybody is going to be looking for it though; it's even forgotten in its own country... Would fit nicely within the Radiance catalogue though.)

Morning Patrol is my favorite Nikolaidis as well. I have his DVD boxset, but an upgrade would be great

Marie told me Morning Patrol, Zero Years, and Sweet Bunch had been restored in 4K and were available for download on his site

Just caught the Sweet Bunch trailer - looks absolutely fascinating! It's such a shame that for most people, Greek cinema begins and ends with Yorgos Lanthimos and Costa-Gavras. There's a whole world of incredible filmmaking happening in Greece that deserves way more attention!

I own the original LP; there has also been a CD reissue. Here it is: https://www.discogs.com/master/68302...BB%CE%BF%CF%82 Hopefully you'll find a cheap copy available.

Also Hadjinassios' score for Sweet bunch is worth checking out too (pleased to read you enjoyed the trailer; do check out the film too, Nikolaidis' most immediately appealing crowdpleaser): https://www.discogs.com/master/49012...81%CE%AF%CE%B1

Since this is turning into a Hadjinasssios post, I'll also point many eurocult aficionados posting here to his score for the greek eurospy entry The navel
[Show spoiler](here is the London-set opening credit sequence:
This track had later lyrics added to and became a popular song.)
and his excellent work for the Barbara Bouchet greek giallo The hook:

A sort of Greek version of Tarkovsky's Stalker.

Right now I'm stuck with a bootleg DVD (the things we do for obscure cinema!). I believe his son handles the film rights these days, so maybe there's hope for us fans yet.

Here is a trailer:

Huge fan of Morning Patrol & i agree with Gekats, definitely his best film (although i like a lot of his others too!)

If you ordered it by itself, it will ship out in a couple of weeks or so according to the Radiance team. The wait won't be that long

Radiance teased a DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS announcement in July at the bottom of their email two days ago regarding the September announcements. ("Next month, daughters!")

Has anyone watched their copy of Oiwa's ghost yet? I won't have access to my copy for a couple of weeks, but noticed the Blu-ray.com review mention some start up issues? https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-T...383487/#Review Seems like it MIGHT just be an issue for Playstation's. Has anyone tried this on a Sony Blu-ray player?
