The betting line is based on the point at which bets are even on both sides. Nothing more. Stupid people drive lines to ridiculous places frequently. Not so much in the major sports, but in minor stuff it happens a lot. That doesn't make it a real pick.

And a sample size of 5 is so small I don't know why you even bring it up. Completely insignificant.

Come on. ND looks scared to death right now and I'm not joking. It looks like they have bit into the fact that Alabama is bigger, faster, and stronger than they are and they can't overcome it. Maybe they can overcome it and make this a game.
