Hell, certain AMCs around me are playing all of those. I want even more indie titles though.

You'll never see stuff like What They Had, The Happy Prince, Matangi/Maya/M.I.A., The Oath, Viper Club, Boy Erased, Studio 54, Blue My Mind, Border...you know, movies that the majority of people heading to the theater haven't even heard of. (All of these titles I listed are currently playing at various theaters in Denver right now, just not any AMC).

My only AMC in town is both far away and also doesn't play many (if any) indies so A-List is not appealing

Regal just rebranded so let's get that subscription goin pals

I might honestly join A-List though, just for all the wide releases that November/December has to offer. So many movies coming out now.

If it wasn't the fact that a decent AMC with recliners and quality screens was over a 30 minute drive for me, I'd do it. But the closest AMC is just so, so shi**y. Makes it not even worth going to. I guess one of the nicer AMC's is pretty close to work, so I could just make it an after work type thing. Then by the time the movie is over, traffic will be down too.

AMC’s offerings vary by location and city. My closest will have The Happy Prince and Beautiful Boy next week, which we’re previously only available at the indie theater. Also, Suspiria. I expect them to have Boy Erased since they have the poster up.

I might use MP to see The Oath tomorrow at a Regal that has it.

That's because some of them aren't even "indies". They are foreign films and those are always a toss up. Foreign films that were originally released in 2017 even less so. The first 6 were released in AMC's around here.

Can't wait for them to introduce something like A-list. That will take care of all the primary theaters in my area covering every movie at any given time.

My annual subscription comes to an end at the end of November and they have made it very easy for me to decide on cancelling the service.

Going to decided if I'm keeping MP depending on next week's lineup.

It's still a good deal at $10 a month, but if they are literally making it impossible to see the movies people actually want to see, then it's not worth anything.

Everything they do to screw over their customers is deliberate. But that's what you get with Ted Farnsworth and Mitch Lowe.

You can check into a movie on the app and then buy a ticket for a different movie.

Or use the app trick to check into a movie on the app that's not part of the "sanctioned list."

I heard you can get in trouble for doing that, what I do is buy a ticket for the same movie and just walk into a different one. The problem is, its gotten to a point where most of the movies they pick aren't even showing in any theaters and they further screw customers over by taking away some of the showtimes. Stars have to align for people to even use their service.

The app trick doesn't work for me anymore, I think they fixed that.

I suspect they'll do one week every month where they don't include any major releases, in order to save money. But if that's a permanent thing, I'd cancel for sure.

That won't work in a majority of theaters, because (at least in my market) about 75% of movie theaters have reserved seating now. So you are assigned a seat. And Alamo Drafthouse actually physically checks/looks at your movie ticket when you sit down.

I just pick a seat no one's sitting in. But anyways, next week's schedule is up. I want to see Suspiria but it's not playing anywhere near me. Looks like they're going to keep not including bigger releases (not a single showing of a top 10 box office movie, and no Nutcracker or Bohemian Rhapsody), so I'm cancelling. Had a good run MP.

I held on WAY longer that most people. At one time every other person I see day to day had MoviePass, but now it's just me. Nowadays only 1 theater around me is even taking MoviePass and each movie only has like 1 showtime. The wide range of theater options was the only reason I hadn't cancelled and gone to A-List. Since they've now removed all the options they've basically made my decision for me. It's been real MoviePass, farewell.

2nd straight week where Indivisible is one of the main 2 choices every day.

This is comical.

It appears that Studio Movie Grill is no longer an e-ticketing partner theater. I have 3 in my area and they just show up in the list of regular theaters.

A Reddit user confirmed it with a MP rep:

MP: "A few of our partner e-ticketing locations will be transitioning back to the card-swipe check-in process and showtime availability based on our published schedule at moviepass.com/movies. We hope to provide e-ticketing at these locations again soon. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

I personally never used them so it doesn’t affect me, but it’s one less option.

The SMG right outside Philadelphia is still working with MoviePass thankfully, I just checked this morning. I'm out after 12/12/18 anyway but I hope it stays strong for the next month

That’s good. As long as I can use it at Landmark and Regal, I’m happy with it.

Today, when I select Theaters, it just takes me to blank page page

Anyone else having this issue?

Threw in the towel. Cancelled.
On the one hand, there's the nagging hope that they will get a final hour miracle (I guess even though they say you cannot re-sign in 9 months, I'm thinking they will allow it).
On the other, no films at all showing for weeks. Time to cut the cord.

See ya, MP. Ye were good in the old days.

edit: I will add that I got lucky yesterday on an out of town trip, and it had Susperia showing with MP allowing it. I had 2 showings left. 1 to go.

I had also been holding out for a while and wanted to see them succeed, but having such limited options each day made it pointless. I cancelled a couple weeks ago, and signed up for AMC's A-list yesterday.
