TCU is unveiling new uniforms for the game against Utah this week. In a way, I think they're cool, but I still prefer the classic look. As long as they beat Utah, and win out they can wear pink for all I care.

So any bets as to who is going to the National Championship game yet? Of course you can see where I'm from and know who I'm rooting for.

.....I think this forum even roots for UT....look at the hand gesture the "rock" emoticon makes

I'd like to say Nebraska will knock off Texas in the Big XII Championship game, but they have to get there first. I think Florida will lose to Alabama. I'm thinking Alabama vs. Cincinnati, and TCU/Boise St. fans will being crying foul (I will be for TCU's sake). But the way this season has been, who knows what'll happen.

I don't know if I'd say their defense is horrible. They've only had one game where they gave up more than 20 points, and they were horrible in that game, at home versus Connecticut last week.

I think the reason they could lose is because they are planning to bench Calloros for Tony Pike once he's healthy. Pike was great before he got injured but Calloros has been nearly as good and I don't think you should bench a hot quarterback for someone that has been out for a month. In addition Pike is a senior and Calloros is a sophomore so I'd think to the future and get Calloros as much experience as possible, although maybe Brian Kelly isn't thinking too much towards the future since there's a good chance he's going to leave.

Notre Dame a likely destination?

He would go to Notre Dame in a heartbeat, as well as Michigan. If Notre Dame fires Weis there's going to be some big names being thrown around. I'm already hearing Jon Gruden, although I think he wants a pro job, and possibly Bob Stoops. Stoops is a Midwest guy and some people think he would love to return there. I don't buy it.

Kelly isn't going to leave for a job he doesn't truly want. He could have left last year but didn't like any of the jobs so he stayed. He really needs to leave while his stock is high though. It's likely Cincinnati is going to go downhill sometime in the next couple years. They are more of a basketball school and their facilities are probably the worst of any BCS school. They don't have a practice field or many of the luxuries other programs have.

I've been hearing Gruden's name thrown around Notre Dame for awhile now, but I think he is looking for a pro job. Unless they can attract Meyer to leave Florida, which won't happen, Kelly is their best pick. He has a great offensive mind and could perhaps convince Clausen to come back for his senior year. Since Cincinnati has been having a good stretch, I'm surprised they don't invest some money into updating their football facilities. I understand money is tight everywhere right now, but doing something like that can work wonders for recruiting.

I was gonna say, you're kidding right? There is absolutely no one in the Big 12 north that could fend off UT. They will easily make it to the National Championship.....I'd put money on it....if not some blu-rays!

Now UT against Florida, Alabama, or LSU....we're screwed...don't get me wrong, I do have faith but I'm also a realist.

Well after seeing Texas against Oklahoma's defense, I believe that Nebraska would have a shot, since I believe Nebraska defense is just as good, if not better than Oklahoma's. Honestly, the way Texas' running game has been inconsistent, Nebraska's O-line would tee off on McCoy. They always do if they can make a team one-dimensional. But then again, if Texas could score 14 points, they'd probably have it out of reach. Nebraska's offense is just as bad as their defense is good.

Texas doesn't deserve to be in the title game. They had a weak schedule this year and still almost lost a couple of times.

The Georgia Tech/Duke game was making me sick to my stomach, so I turned it off. If it weren't for that Clemson game, Miami would be in the driver's seat of the coastal. Just thinking back on that game makes me angry. On a more positive note, the ACC has a legitimate shot at finishing the season with four ranked teams. ACC football has made big strides this season, and the future looks very bright for us as a conference.

I was hopeful for a moment there at the beginning of the game with Duke going up 10-0, but that hope was quickly dashed when Gtech scored 4 straight TD's to end the half. One word: DAMN! Anyway, I'm expecting the Canes to beat NC pretty handily today. They've beaten us 3 straight years, so it's payback time. And yes, some teams in the ACC are looking mighty good. Others, not so much.

Just had some more adventures in officiating in the Clemson -NC State Game

Clemson fumble. Clemson scrambles to the line runs a play. Tom Osbourne (State) goes apoplectic saying he wanted a time out and it wasn't given. Officials give him the timeout and CANCEL the previous play.

LONG review. Clemson retains possession, call on the field of no fumble stands. It was close, but looked like a fumble to me. It was inexcusable to grant that timeout after a play had been run, then go back and review it. I'm not one to tout 'make up calls', but I think the guys in the booth decided they had to right everything. wow.

I don't know why Michigan fans can't be more patient that spread system really needs at least 3-4 years before he can really start plugging away the wins. I personally would take 2 bad years and then see massive improvement over the hovering that had been going on for awhile there.

Tom Osborne is not the North Carolina State head coach Slec. That would be Tom O'Brien. Osborne was the longtime Nebraska head coach and their current athletic director. He also was in Congress for a bit, I believe he served three terms.

Osbourne, O'Brien (via BC), he as wrong either way Good catch on that though. I called him O'Brien in my conversations at the house...screwed the pooch when I typed that up.

You said the same thing about a month and a half ago when I asked when will Rodriguez get replaced, and what I can tell you now is that prestigious football schools such as Michigan are not known for their patience when it comes to demanding winning results on the field. And they expect those results pretty fast. Especially when Michigan started the year 4-0, and since have lost 6 of 7 games, some by a large margin. He better start delivering some wins soon, otherwise he'll be gone in a heartbeat.

Anyone notice the Lou Holtz picked Notre Dame to beat Pitt, and South Carolina to beat Florida. He's not even trying to hide his crazy bias this year
