So i left for work yesterday afternoon leaving the misses watching Hunger Games mocking jay :2.
When i got home she was fuming,, apparently every so often the TV would go blank and "no input" would pop up on the screen, also the audio would drop out for a moment.
Am i right in thinking this could just very well be a handshake issue?
Planning on troubleshooting this later today..
We have the Denon X2100W,,

Is this update necessary? Especially considering I am in an atmos Top Front, Top Rear layout.

I was under the impression that Auro3D cost 200bucks to install and use. The firmware update makes no mention of a $200 charge. I am unfamiliar with the Auro company and don't know if they would do something shady like send me a bill if I downloaded this.

Bottom line, is this update necessary or should I just ignore it?
Just ignore it, That's what I did.

I like it a lot. Has a lot more oomph than my previous entry level Onkyo. I may look at in ceilings or atmos add ons soon.

Just reserved an AVR-X6200W for £1K using my Pioneer SC-2023K as PX. They're even throwing in 3 year warranty and a HDMI 2.0a lead. My mate is going to sort out 4 Atmos speakers as he works for Harman Kardon and gets a hefty discount. All I'll need then is a stereo amplifier and I'm good to go.

Has anyone tested the HDMI 2.0a/HDCP 2.2 of the Denon receivers with the new HDR content available on 4K disc and streaming? Does it really work as Denon guidelines indicate? A lot of people find themselves having to run two HDMI connections because their receivers are not HDMI 2.0a/HDCP 2.2 compliant

Got a few more questions for Denon receiver owners: (I own the Denon AVR S910W)

If I run Audyssey and disconnect one or more of my speakers afterwards, do I need to run Audyssey again? Or does it retain the setting?

Also, would the same apply to manually setting my speakers? Would I have to manually re-do my settings if I disconnect a speaker or two?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just hook up a stereo amplifier to my x4200. For two more heights, wow a much fuller atoms experience. Just wish there was more blu's with atmos. I don't think my tv supports the HDCP 2.2 hdmi and its only 18 months old frustrating.

Default 4200 vs 6200?

Hi: Trying to decide on a new receiver to replace my current one(Yamaha RXA-1000) looking at these 2 Denon's as a possibility what are the main differences between them....I'm using Axiom M80's ver. 3 as my mains...VP150(Axiom)Center......I think the X6200 is manufacturer in Japan wondering if that improves the parts/quality at all??? Are Denon's more failure prone then other brands(I know Yamaha's are the best in terms of being reliable) just wondering about Denon in comparison??Thanks!!

Hello everybody, I have a problem and I'd like to know if somebody has a solution to it. I recently update my old Denon 2808CI, with a Denon X3200W, and it sounds amazing, even though I still have to add the two extra speakers, I'm running with a 5.1 configuration. My problem is while watching Cable, and listen to Radio, the sound drops for a fraction of a second, and then goes back, I read somewhere that I have to checks the cables, which I did, does anybody have had the same problem? Any help or suggestions will b appreciated.

My first Denon purchase was a brand new AVR 4520c.i. which in 2013 was Denons Flagship AVR. This unit kept turning itself off when powered on. I sent it to a factory Denon repair center 3 times and it always did the same thing. This unit never played one song ever!!! Sent it back for trip number 4 and I never got this unit back, they deemed it un-repairable. I was more than pissed but Denon sent me another AVR 4520c.i. and I did not even open it up. I was looking at a Yahmaha Aventage series AVR but without Audyessey Room Correction which Denon offered I just could not pull the trigger on the Yahmaha. Finally I chose to try this new Denon out and lets just say WOW. This is the best sounding AVR I have ever heard and I have owned Pioneer Elite, Onkyo, and an older Marantz. Give Denons X6200 model a try as it would sound great with your Axiom speakers. You can always return it. I bought my Denon in 2013 and still works like a champ.

Picked up the Denon 710 for $379. Best Buy price matched Amazon. Won't be able to test it for a few months after my media room is complete, but I can't wait.

Quick question, where did you buy yours from? Did you get it less than the $2,199.00 asking price?

I think I got it for less than 800 I got a bundle deal for 4k everything I posted before from acoustic sound design.
Just the speakers by them self are more than 3k in klipsch.com. Do the mat

Not yet. Waiting for delivery. Will try your setup when I get it. But I don't really care to much about that as my main point will be just sound from denon. I like to run the video straight to the TV.

In my case, I had no choice but run video straight to my TV. If I run video through the receiver (single connection) the UHD player downscales to HD 1080
