He better start delivering some wins soon, otherwise he'll be gone in a heartbeat.
Its so important though they don't have the pipelines that Bama and UF have where boom you come in grab a couple kids and start whipping things around, those programs need time to progress then develop hopefully the school will get that. WV was nothing without him, and the recruiting he brought. They still have holes at WR, RB, Oline, Dline, DB, LB, lol basically the whole team.

I think Lou Holtz is pretty much an idiot. First off he is massively biased towards Notre Dame and South Carolina, and secondly seems to still be stuck in the 'old school' style of college football with his far off comments. He needs to evolve with the game. I'm not a big fan of his partner, Mark May, either. I still stand by my opinion that Herbstreit is the best analyst and color commentator in all of college football. I love that guy, he really knows his stuff.

Don't forget ECU lol remember a few seasons ago when they ripped off a couple great wins and he's saying well they should be considered for a NC

I'm pissed too. Jacory Harris had his worst game of the season by far. Butch Davis is a great coach, and he's building that team up. I'm really not looking forward to playing these guys in the next several years.

Jacory was indeed bad tonight. I also like Butch Davis a lot and wish he was still our coach. I'm not looking forward to our future encounters with UNC if the results continue to reflect tonight's.

I don't remember anytimes this year where I was worried that Texas wouldn't win. I was questioning it before the OSU game but I was quickly satisfied UT would win. I do agree that UT has a terrible strength of schedule, in fact their schedule always sucks, which is why I know the SEC will hand our asses to us come National Championship time.

I am impressed the Florida only got a 10 point lead on SC, and that wasn't until halfway thru the 4th quarter. (I know Spurrier was the ex-Florida coach)

Give him time, it's only his second year. He's running a completely different offense than they had in Carr's tenure, and he needs at least one more recruiting class to get the players he wants in the system. I really think if given time, he'll win a lot of football games at Michigan. The program needs to give him a fair shake for success.

yeah, I think you saw he got a few more players this year increased success, next year I would expect them to do even better, then that following year is when I think they'd be seriously considered for contention. If they are still sucking in 2 years I'd be the first one to kick him out the door.

I do believe you guys have a very good team, it's just that you haven't been really tested that much this year. The win against OSU was definitely impressive, especially since it was on their turf. The game against the Sooners was closer than you'd liked I'm sure, although your team did come out on top, and it was pretty close with TTU as well even though they're not that good this year. So, what I'm saying is that I'd love to see Texas play Florida, Alabama, Cincinati, TCU or even Boise State, and them we could see how good they really are. I have a feeling that Florida and Texas will end up meeting in the title game this year, and I'm not sure your team has enough to conquer the Gators. Tebow is just on right now, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wins his second Heisman this year either.

BTW, I gotta give props to Stanford for back to back monster wins against Oregon and USC. To score 50+ on these two schools is impressive indeed.

Jim Harbaugh is doing an excellent job there, he's one of the top young coaches in college football. I know he did well at San Diego, but I thought it would take him longer than this to have this much success at Stanford.

I totally agree. Imagine couple of their losses going the other way, and they may be talked about as a contender for the national championship or one of the other prestigious BCS bowls. I mean the WF game was only by a touchdown and their loss to Arizona was by only 5 points. Anyway, I'm sure next year they will have more success, and that all other PAC-10 schools will consider them one of the favorites to win the conference.

By the time Andrew Luck is done at Stanford, I think he is going to hold a lot of school records. That kid is going to be amazing, NFL teams are already keeping a close eye on him. He has perfect NFL size with great arm strength.

Haven't really seen him play yet, so I might have to check him out on one of their nationally televised upcoming games.

The fact that Lou's son Skip is the coach at ECU probably had something to do with him hyping them up. Lou Holtz picked Notre Dame to go to the National Title game this year. A lot of people believe he did this to raise expectations for Notre Dame and increase the likelihood that Weis would be fired if they didn't meet the expectations. Then it is very possible that Skip would be a candidate for the job.

It was also very amusing when Lou had to wear the Pitt jersey after the game. They should do stuff like that more often.

Thats actually smart... Skip does run a good program and ECU, they were pretty much a joke until he started recruiting there.

ND needs a recruiter to get the talent in the rest can work itself out.
