Yes. He was consolidating power. This is why he weaponized Alioth to protect his timeline. He knew everything that would happen until the threshold. That is why he wanted out, because his control was lost.

TVA just got rid of potential branches. How were those branches been formed anyway, other than time travel?
And why the TVA doesn't know or realize or discover that they are stealing people from other universes, not time branches?

None of them have any memories of their previous lives. How would they know.

The entire way that people view the MCU is so strange. If people are spoon feed they complain. If they are not spoon feed they complain.

Everything that He who remains talked about makes sense. Those other time lines only exists in the end of time "nexus". None of time lines touched the tower.

Honest to God with the last few comments I'm more lost than before.

Is there or is there not one "sacred timeline"? Because Kang made it seem like the multiverse war occurred long ago and the war ended by eliminating all the timelines but one. The tva existed to prune branches before they became another timeline

IF there is only one timeline how do you get things like an Alligator and a lady Loki. That's not a variant, that's an alternate universe Loki.

In the video it shows Variant's being almost anything. Since we see Throg it could go either way, he was an alligator or was turned into an alligator.

A variant of Loki as described by the show would still be Loki. Like turning left when he should have turned right.

There's thousands of degrees of separation involved in being an Alligator.

Trevrox said earlier Kang was lying and there really has been a multiverse all along. But if that's the truth, then what happened at the end of the episode?

Great premise, but that's not what is shown on-screen. TVA agents constantly steal people from other universes, NOT "time branches". The agents call them "Time Variants", all of them, but they are not "Time Variants", they are "Interdimensional Counterparts".
(EXCEPT 2012 LOKI, of course)
And the TVA agents do NOT know that. How can you perform a task and not realize what you're doing? That's impossible.
