My copy arrived today and surprised to see they went with a clear case on this one. Is this something new or have they released other Blu-rays in clear cases?

We opted to go with a clear case on this release as it seemed to look better with the key art scheme.

Teenage Hitchhikers was a hoot. Considering that it was made by a director who otherwise made only adult films (and that many of the performers also appeared in adult films), the performances and script were much better than you'd expect not just from this production but from any low-budget sexploitation feature of its time.

The story is outlandish, as the young female protagonists encounter a series of oddball characters, such as a van of soft-rock hippies, an endearing goofball rapist, a wealthy predatory lesbian, and a cross-dressing lingerie salesman. After getting swindled, the girls learn how to swindle in return and grow increasingly confident in their ability to take advantage of those who are trying to take advantage of them.

The transfer looked great to me. I haven't listened to the commentary, but the interview with the writer/director is really interesting, so kudos to the Demon for tracking that guy down.

The TEENAGE HITCHHIKERS transfer is beautiful. Absolutely upgrade-worthy for those wondering how it compares to the DVD.

I love this movie, it's one of the most fun and enjoyable films of this type. Essential 70's sexploitation. Nice job, Dark Force.
