Read the second to last paragraph. Many in here think I’m mad for suggesting a future where we shift to mobile, looks like this guy agrees with me. THIS is the digital future and what we are fighting against.

Let’s see the usual crowd talk their way out of this one.

No, we think you're mad for suggesting a future in which nobody wants to buy TVs and studios won't make anything but shorts.

Did you read it? ‘As the world shifts to mobile’. That, imo, seems pretty straight forward. That guy is pretty well respected as a leading voice in tech. In my opinion, that statement suggests everyone will shift to mobile. What else can it mean in that context?

But what does 'shift to mobile' mean? They're all going to throw their TVs out? They're going to stop watching movies and TV shows?

That's ridiculous.

Look up shift. It means to move in a different direction.

Look up ridiculous. It means believing people are going to stop watching TVs and studios are going to stop making movies.

Neither of those things is going to happen.

Not in our lifetimes, anyway.

So why do leading tech journalists (and he is) seem to think so?

It’s one thing mocking me (a random stranger to you) and posting gifs, but this guy has a big reputation in the tech world.

I'm sorry, I only skimmed the article so I must have missed the paragraph(s) in which he said people are going to stop watching TVs and studios are going to stop making movies.

Can you point me to it?

Or any other article he might have written in which he predicts the death of TVs and movies?

Cause that would definitely be worth reading.

He didn’t mention movies, I did. How people watch content is the topic here. Second from last paragraph.

What about the death of TVs? Did he mention that? Ever?

I can tell you for a fact that not "everyone" will shift to mobile. This "someone" in particular will not; I will be comfortably lounging on my leather couch watching my discs on my full sized TV.

Lol. If people are shifting to mobile, what are they shifting from? In my opinion, that can only mean one thing.

You can move to mobile without abandoning your TV or your discs or your couch. Take it from somebody who spends waaaaaaaaaaay too much of his day on his couch watching his TV while browsing the net on his phone.

And in my opinion your opinion is ridiculous.

You say leading tech journalists seem to think people are going to stop watching TVs and studios are going to stop making movies.

So quote one that actually says that.

Yes, clearly I'm the one twisting this guy's words beyond all recognition.
