Most of my older games are put away. That one still sits out. I fully intend to go back and platinum that game. It's pretty challenging on the hardest difficulty setting (have not beat it yet). I remember I played Bioshock and Dead Space the first back to back. Both were very creepy in their own ways, and both are still really, really good games.

Been playing Star Wars: Force Unleashed II yesterday and today. It's pretty mediocre overall but I suppose I'll finish one play through. Play controls are really bad. I really wish we'd get some sort of re-booted Star Wars game franchise. Star Wars on a console should be much better than this.

I agree I thought the first one was good and the 2nd one was just pathetic its like they didnt even care they just put it out for the sake of making money luckily i got the 2nd one for $5 used at blockbuster

I demo-ed "Dead Space" a while ago. I absolutely couldn't get through it. Scared me a little too much (and I thought the character moved way too slowly anyway). I certainly agree that it's creepy.

I'm still only on Chapter 6 or so in "Uncharted." It'll probably take me a while longer to get through it, since I'm playing it on Hard and taking the time to find treasures. Still, what I've seen has been awesome, and I'll probably be flipping back and forth between it and other games.

If I had to grade it, it would be something like a 4.5/5 - 5/5.

I think adventure games like "Uncharted" fit me better than scary ones like "Bioshock," but I do love the settings and gameplay of "BS."

Well, I find the grind fun.

I think I'm just playing this on normal. I might have cranked it up to hard to aim for the trophy, but I can't remember what I selected.

My problem was, that first level with the crabs and flying things kept killing me over and over again. I can't exactly doge or fly around all that well, so in order to kill all the flying things, I found it easier to jump up and stab them all with my sword, even though I take damage doing it. I then found that I could buy health in the upgrades section, so when it got too low, I bought some more health. It got me to the end of the level.

The second level can be a pain too, with that God-awful flame-spitting spider thing. I think you're supposed to attack it from a distance, shooting occasional fireballs at it, but those devil-things keep gaining up, so it's too darn hard to get a shot out. I wound up getting through it by running to the middle, zipping around the spider-thing's legs, and slashing everything in sight, with occasional fireballs and earthquake attacks. I took some damage, but kept buying health, and I got through the level.

From that point onward, I've just been hacking, slashing, and shooting everything. Finding the artifacts and souls helped me upgrade my weapons and stuff, so it gets easier as it goes on.

In retrospect though, the game is still a pain. You pretty much spend it fighting and fighting and fighting, always pushing the . But, for whatever reason, I feel pretty happy to slash up things...and trophy hunting.

I haven't played anything since Tuesday. I'm primed to play Bayonetta or WET, picked up used, and I've become reinterested in Bioshock, but it's finally cooled off enough to do work on some outdoor projects around the house. Spent the last two days digging a sort of drain, lining it with rubber and vinyl and covering it with rock, to keep heavy rains and snow melt from moistening my basement. Now that the week is near over, I feel uninclined to play anything until Tuesday. I'm getting both Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders II. I don't know which I'm looking more forward to.
