I'm still enjoying mine. I did go about a month without turning it on, but only turned on my PS3 in the same period for Netflix.

I do find a universal trophy/achievement system to be more m otivating or I'd have been on it a bit more.

Reports were FEB/MAR.

Nyko hasn't released a street date yet though.

Amazon is showing 3-4 weeks... but some of their suppliers are showing that they currently have it in stock

http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Commander-Wii-U-Nintendo/dp/B00ANHBJBY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361924996&sr=8-1&keywords=nyko+pro+commander

There are two reviews too that were posted last week... but both reviewers hated it.

Well it sounds like most of ya are not really logging any hours of Wii U time any more. Maybe it would be better to just get a PS3 until the new gen releases.

Only one real launch title, Mario. Rest were gimmick games or old ea games were you have already picked up the game if you were a fan of that series.

All of us have other systems, thus the games that are out for the Wii u where released prior on those systems and are adding to our limited playing time.

Do you not have a ps3 or a 360? If not, then a I get a Wii u over those consoles if you are buying the console only for gaming. You will get a lot of playing time out of a Wii u over a ps3 or Xbox moving forward.

Buying a ps3 or 360 now would be worthless. Yes, they have good games but your future release on those systems will be very limited after this year.

Also, both the ps3 and 360 will be very cheap once the next gen is released in 5-6months. If you have interest in the ps3, I would wait till Xmas when they are 100 cheaper or so.

If you are spending $300 now, then go Wii u. You will 6 years out of your money instead of 1-1.5 years with a current gen.

Yeah I wouldn't buy another PS3 right now. Another price drop is almost certain within a year (when PS4 comes out). I am also expecting a Wii U price cut so keep that in mind. Standing pat for a few months at least is probably your best option.

So u think a Wii U price drop will happen soon? I wouldn't buy a PS3 now unless there comes a good drop in price. I'm not going to spend $300 on a console that will be replaced in a few months.

I expect a Wii U price cut around November when the new systems are released.

That is unless the PS4 and 720 are $500+ bucks.

If you only want to spend $300, then the Wii U will be your only option for a new console that will be playable for the next 5+ years.

PS4 and 720 will be closer to $450-$550 range based the prices that are being reported worldwide. Of course, Sony could lower of the PS4 here in North American in an attempt to retake the market. This strategy would allow Sony to control all of the console markets (Americas, Asia, and Europe) and would probably put Microsoft out of the console game since no one outside of the US and Canada cares about the Xbox.

PS4 will be a beautiful and powerful machine, but next gen gaming focus will be on 1080p 30-60 fps, 720p at 60 fps, and direct X11 support to limit costs and production times and all three systems (Wii U, PS4, 720) will be able to do that.

Also, note the Wii U will have the best Holiday lineup this year. That may come into play when Nintendo thinks about a price cut. Nintendo might stay strong at the $299-$349 unless Sony releases the PS4 at $50.00 more than the Wii U.

In your situation, maybe get a white/basic Wii U and look for a coupon or purchase deal to get it closer to $250'ish maybe.

While a price cut is never out of the question, based on info from my insider contacts, I wouldn't expect a price cut this year. Nintendo's got two big guns that they're scrambling to ready in time to help counter the PS4 and new Xbox. One is a title that wasn't specifically expected this year, but that's partly the reason they've enlisted the help of a third party with experience in the genre. The other is a beloved multiplayer franchise title that hasn't really been seen or talked about yet for the Wii U.

It all goes back to my statement that the Wii U will have hands down the best Holiday lineup this year.

And I think they Wii U will drop in price come November... I just threw in that it might not due to their lineup and if the 760/PS4 are released at a $500 tag. If that cost is true, then Nintendo's machine would already be at half the cost of those machines, have more exclusives, and have all of the next-gen titles (minus system exclusives). Because of those reasons, I could see Nintendo standing pact at the $249 price if the ps4/720 are released at $500.

I don't see the 'next gen' systems hitting $500. Unless they include a game or other 'extras'. I could be wrong.

Yes, and Sony's console division almost died because of those prices.

Almost zero chance they go that route again.
