Just heard a nice tidbit from one of the youtubers that got hands on with the game at Rockstar HQ.
He commented that your gang is actually quite competent on missions and often he would line up his sights on a foe only to have a member of his gang take them down before he got the chance. Finally! A game where your NPC companions are not useless. That aspect always breaks my immersion, especially those moments where your behind cover and your NPC companion will endless exchange missed shots against the enemy. I hope there is more depth to this aspect, like having every shootout seem like a time trial of who can get more kills and this effects if you get more honor or lose honor because you suck. |

The AI in Ghost Recon Wildlands is mostly competent and get me out of a bind more often than not, so that's decent team members, but that sounds good that the AI team will be reliable mostly in RDR2.

Cool you'll be getting back to PS4 (Pro) with RDR2 and God of War. Enjoy. ![]() Only console I ever got rid of was the XBox 360 and I loved that console except for the Red Ring meltdown for the original 1+ 2 replacement free warranty consoles. 4th one I just traded in for store credit at Gamestop right away after making sure it worked. I asked MS to send me an updated new console, but they didn't and they lost a customer as I switched to PS3, and PS4. |

I started with manual aiming, but later switched to the fun of auto targeting for the multiple enemies firing at John Marsten, or the hordes of zombies swarming him. In real life, it would be much easier to target each enemy for John compared to trying to use the Analog stick to carefully line up the shot in that dangerous, quick reaction moment. I wonder how others had the aim settings in RDR1?
As long as the main game RDR2 has great single player content, I'm not too upset about Rockstar focusing more on online DLC. I'll be honest though, RDR Undead Nightmare had much more game play mission variety than the main RDR 1 storyline, which later had way too many point A to B horse chase or escape the enemies missions. It started to feel like the same mission repeated 10 times or more and I was wondering why more critics didn't point out the repetition in the missions despite being a great game otherwise. Playing it again, the controls are slightly awkward and take an adjustment to get used to, as I would like a control remapping option in that game. Extra stories are nice, but IMO, can't compare to an entire new landscape to check out with new enemies. One of the best DLC I played was for Fallout 3's Lookout Point, which included an entire, giant island to explore. |

Oh man, I'm having flashbacks of big smoke knocking himself down trying to get in the vehicle on time sensitive missions. We've come a long way...

I was preparing for at least a 8-12gb day one patch, but damn if I want to have to download 40-50gigs with my slower internet. Hopefully it''s just multiplayer stuff so I can dive into the single player game right away. |

![]() I'm going to cancel my digital pre order off PSN. Way to much download for a game. Even with a pre download and unlock before the game launches at 9pm west coast/midnight east coast release. |

No worries. I’ll just start the download at midnight, and play later in the morning. Should only take me 2-3 hours to download.
Edit: I guess I should have clarified that I’ll be on Microsoft’s servers with the X... Last edited by jayturner514; 09-26-2018 at 10:58 PM. |

As long as the servers are running well. I get around 150Mbps down over fibre and the best Sonys servers can feed me is 30 tops on a good day, and that's wired too.
It would take me about 8.5 hours to download the full 105gb and that's with a solid 30Mbps uninterrupted which is a rare occurrence downloading from their servers. |

I’m in same boat as far as internet speed. PlayStation now copies update files after release which really bottlenecks the system for games that are large. GT Sport & BF2 are my current large files at 91GB |

Every once in a while my playstation will download games fast but I never have that issue with my Xbox 1S it only takes 15-20 mins to download a game. Sony needs to fix that cause it’s a problem with their consoles.
