Do you have a link for this? Unlike expiring movies, sometimes these stick around.

Now you're making me wish I had gotten around to If I Had A Million - especially since I like Gary Cooper - but I was too tired for anything else.

Because it's Cooper and Ernst Lubitsch (among others), hopefully it won't be "rare" and will show up elsewhere eventually.
I just searched for Joon Ho last night and those few remaining things, at the time, showed up. I see that the interview that went with Incoherence also went away. But later after watching the interview I suspected that Incoherence might have been on the Memories Of Murder blu-ray and the review here confirms that to be the case, along (presumably) with that interview as its introduction.

On the other hand Influenza, if you're watching on a web browser, is still around. And does not seem to be on their Memories Of Murder blu-ray…

Thanks. Added this to my watchlist. It wasn't on the May expiring list, was it?

I hope so too. I have it on DVD and digitally, but a stacked Criterion release would be icing on the cake.

There's a lot for me in that Method Acting collection. Plenty I've seen before but a lot I'll watch again in the spirit of it. There's also a slew of stuff leaving the channel, including some of the new drops. It's going to be a full month.

Nope. Dunno how it got on the channel in the first place…

Maybe this is the month I finally get around to (at least some of) those Saura titles?

First time seeing Jack Garfein's Something Wild, in the Method Acting collection. Pretty blown away by it, not only for the performances, and the hard-hitting subject, but also because of how the city is made into a character of its own, something I love to see in a movie - environments that live and breathe and apply pressure to the story.
I also really enjoyed his The Strange One, and I'm baffled at how this guy didn't direct any more films. He only passed a few years ago.

Does anyone know which version of Basic Instinct is streaming on CC? Is it the R-rated or the unrated one?

Running time is 2:08. Not familiar with the differences but it seemed like the full deal. Nudity was relentless, icepick went through the face.

Elvis huh.

Curious about the PQ of the Rossellini's. Whatever the case I'll be diving in, and into the Once Upon a Time in Chinas.

There were a few upcoming categories that caught my attention.

I was also thinking I should get aboard the expiring this month train…

I did watch something a few days ago called The American Sector. A documentary sort of thing where many of the pieces of the Berlin Wall that have ended up in the USA are visited. (I didn't count or anything but it seemed like maybe half of them are featured in the film.)

Time to make a list and check it twice…

I've seen a bunch of the expiring picks already:
  • Basic Instinct
  • Body Double
  • The Elephant Man
  • The Hitch-Hiker
  • In a Lonely Place
  • Preparations to Be Together for an Unknown Period of Time
  • Scarlet Street
  • Shoot First, Die Later
  • Tetsuo: The Iron Man

Wow, a bunch of absolute bangers on that list!

In a Lonely Place and Scarlet Street are musts, with The Elephant Man (the very first expiring movie I ever watched on the Channel, now expiring again for the 3rd or 4th time) not far behind.

For a couple of dark horse picks, I recommend The Hitch-Hiker and Shoot First, Die Later.

I just watched Tetsuo: The Iron Man a couple of days ago. At only a little over an hour, it's easy to fit in but almost impossible to describe. Very experimental. Definitely a sensory overload.

Just caught the 74 documentary Attica, which is leaving at the end of the month.
It's very good, very hard-hitting, and tough to bear, given that seemingly little has changed.

Also watched In a Lonely Place, which is very interesting, true to Nicholas Ray's form.

Ida Lupino's Hitch-Hiker is one I'll definitely get to.
Henry Koster's Good Morning Miss Dove is a maybe, Noah Baumbach's Margot at the Wedding, another maybe.

And a few I've seen many times before but I don't currently own in HD - Cool Hand Luke, Mulholland Drive, The Naked Spur.

I watched Margot At The Wedding last time it was about to expire and really enjoyed it, it was a blind watch for me.

Good Morning Miss Dove is the one I'm most likely to get to next.

Preparations to Be Together for an Unknown Period of Time is on my short list as well… As is Attica if I get in the mood.

Hard to tell what else I'll get to at this point, depends on whether I manage to catch up on some sleep. (Seen most of the rest of the things that have been mentioned, have the few others on disc.)

Re: July.
I wonder if Showgirls will be the Vinegar Syndrome restoration. Also, looks like I'm finally going to see Zardoz. lol

Re: Leaving this month.
I watched Call Me and Dream Lover this weekend, and I'd recommend both if you're looking for minor but solid erotic thrillers!

I watched The Naked Spur last night. Highly recommended!

Tonight? I might dip into MUBI before focusing on the Channel for the rest of the week, but I'll see how I feel.

Unfortunately the transfer for Good Morning Miss Dove is not great, gonna wait for a better opportunity.
I was maybe in a testy mood for Margot at the Wedding and the muddy washed-out look for the interiors tested me. The character writing was not quite enough to get me past it, and I gave up.
The Hitch-Hiker, however, is amazing, and it's the second new discovery I've made in the Method Acting collection, along with Jack Garfein's Something Wild, that I will be picking up on disc.

I gave Call Me a shot last night, in spite of being way too tired when doing so, didn't last long. (Similar to what happened with some old-ish films I had tried out on my dvr before that, so probably not the movie.) Maybe tonight, though earlier this time might help some…
