I have zero interest in Maggie Gyllenhaal, the only interest I have in 50 Shades is that Dakota is in it. I remember she was quite fetching in Bad Times at the El Royale.

If you can't spread blatant hyperbole on the Internet, where can you spread it? I imagine he's going to go see it anyway, at least I hope so. I feel bad for Sweeney, she deserves at least 1 hit this year.

While it was technically released the final month of 2023, Anyone But You has made 200 million boxoffice making it a huge financial success for Sweeney. Considering she was one of the executive producers I'm sure she did ok.

Just saw it, mediocre.

Maybe Dakota Johnson is a good actress but her performance in this film was flat, emotionless and not involved. I read an article that she was this way during the press tour, almost slacker like with total lack of enthusiasm.

(Another actress who had no clue about a lot of the movies in the MCU or even what movies she was plugged into is Gwyneth Paltrow. She was very funny arguing with Jon Favreau on his cooking show about MCU films. Even if she didn’t care about MCU she’s a great actress and brought a lot to the role of Pepper Potts. That’s the difference between Gwyneth and Dakota)

Maybe growing up the daughter of Don and Melanie and granddaughter of Tippi, she’s seen it all, so not easily impressed, but in this film such low energy.

While I understand this is an origin story, I think we needed to see the three Spider girls in action with Professor X, ummm I mean Madame Web in her wheelchair guiding her “students.”

Movie was flat like Dakota’s performance.

I didn’t hate it but it just laid there.

I don’t regret seeing it.

Caught this is IMAX. It's hard to show the progression of a character in such a short time, but I do like how it all came together in the end.
