I would not trust Amazon on pre-orders. And it wouldn't let me check out anyways, it told me that the required quantity is not available. So I don't know if it's just me, or if it's a fault with Amazon (which is most likely the case).

Happy for these releases for certain, but still a bit bummed that we didn't get the Rob Zombie Halloween films again this year. Sigh. Maybe next Shocktoberfest.....

Isn't that a rights issue or something? Those movies are the only reason I've held on to my Halloween boxset, otherwise I would have upgraded and gotten rid of it by now. As cool as it looks, I could use the shelf space!

Especially since I am (hopefully) getting the steelbook Nightmare boxset. How I'm gonna fit it on the shelf, I have no idea! I may have to get rid of some movies.

Zombie Halloweens are with Lionsgate. They'll release themselves or (slim chance) license out.

We're gonna need both cuts of each, or we'll never hear the end of it. Folks that like the films usually have a pretty strong opinion of which version they prefer, and there's no denying that the differences are fairly extensive/substantively significant. I'm a proponent of the theatrical cuts myself, on both titles.

Plus the whole fiasco with Devil's Rejects and Saw sequels.

It would be an understatement that a 4K of RZH2 with just the Theatrical Cut would be a waste of time.

Returning to NOTLD90, am I correct in saying that the years-old promise at the top of this thread for a new, previously unreleased uncensored cut is still yet to appear and is definitely included on the forthcoming US 4K disc?

I can't find anything about this new cut, although I am familiar with the ropey quality cut scenes from the old making-of.

It's great the likes of this and Nightmare on Elm Street are getting restored 4K exclusives, it bodes well for restored editions of say F13th Pt2 and others that were cut for an R.
