I have a pair of Energy C2's bookshelf speakers that have been running strong for almost 10yrs in my hometheater setup which consist of:

Sony DD/DTS/5.1 surround reciever 100x5
Energy C2 mains
Sony Center/Surround
Sony SA-WM40 120w sub

I worked at an audio/video/appliance store back in '97 when we 1st got Energy's lineup in. First time I heard it I was hooked, we were listening to Patricia Barber Cafe Blue for a demo, no sub. Guitar string detail and voice clarity made the hairs on the back of neck stand up. I was sold instantly. Even for as small as the C2's are, they hold there own except for deep bass, mated to a sub, they sound awesome. Eventually I would like to pick up some floorstanding higher-end line Energy's........

welcome to the site.

Glad to see another owner with Energys, especially some of the more older speakers. Many of us have the C-300s and C-500s, there are a few that have the older series like you some C7's and C8's and I think an owner with some C5's.

I will add you to the front page of owners also.

Are you planning on keeping your C2's for a while longer? Have you tried to find an Energy center channel that matches your fronts? Like ebay or something. Looks like they have one here.... http://www.vidinc.net/energycc1.html

I picked up the Energy Take 5 set for my dad for Christmas. I can't wait to hear how these little things sound. From all the great reviews I've read I'm sure he'll love them. I'm actually much more excited about giving him these speakers and his new receiver than opening anything for myself for Christmas.

look what I happened upon if anyone is interested. Plus you could add this center and be in heaven....

Or there are still a couple of C-C50s out there too....

Here are some Energy speakers, I thought you all may want to see some of their older speakers... some interesting designs.

tis the season for upgrades. i have a nice starter wad of cash and will be adding more to it from christmas gifts. my head is spinning with what to do with it. i could possibly upgrade my amp, but i feel i don't really need an amp in the first place. i could upgrade my receiver, but i've only had my receiver for 7 or so months. i think i'm leaning towards a bigger/better sub or adding a better compliment to my a2-300 other than the hd sub10.

the only thing that i'm really not considering swapping out is my speakers. i think that says alot for the energy brand.

i guess not being able to decide what to upgrade next but still having the cash in reserve for it is a great problem to have...

Thanks. I actually don't have those anymore, but I haven't been able to update my gallery since my dog ate my digital camera. We just bought a new one so I have to post new pics. Now I'm running a Pioneer VSX-21 and PSB Image B5, C4, and B4 speakers. They sound awesome.

Maybe just buy some blu's or you could look into saving up for a PJ and a screen.... if that would fit in your place.... But it seems that most of your stuff is newer lines...

I was looking at the yamaha 1065 the other day in BB.... it was hooked up to polk tsi 400s, but it sounded good.

Nice, the PSB speakers are wonderfull too. You should post pics... did you get the Dark Cherry... that is a cool finish. But the black looks good too.

I really like the dark cherry, too, but I went with black. Since we have the built in entertainment center I felt like the wood might now match close enough and might look a little off.

i'm jealous of the psb's. the new image line looks awesome and is getting rave reviews. eventually, when they get discontinued(and therefore get nice and cheap), i think i could see myself with some t5 or t6 towers. although, the
b6's and b5's look awesome as well. i bet they'd rival the towers in combination with a good sub.

I would love to be able to get towers, but I just don't have the room since we have the built-in entertainment center. Once I move into a bigger place I'm sure that will happen. The PSB bookshelves do product great sound paired with the ED A2-250 I have. It's not quite the beast you have in the A2-300, but I've been very happy with it. Your setup looks very nice by the way.

thanks, i'm sure yours is great as well w/ the pio elite and psb's. can't go wrong w/ an eD sub either. the model you have is actually one i'm thinking of adding to run w/ the a2-300.

on a side note...is this not the longest day ever! it's sleeting outside, and i have a nice long commute ahead...blah. my job gets really slow around this time of year, and i can pretty much surf this site all day long, but today has been torture...

Wow, that is a killer!! Deal on that Veritas Center 2.0CI.. It isn't the match for my RC-30's and RC-10's but I think I'd take it if I had the budget for it right now.

I think you would be very happy with the addition of the A2-250. This week seems like it has been very long. I think it's because Christmas is right around the corner. I can't comment on the sleet, though, since I'm in San Diego and it's 75 degrees and sunny outside.

Thank you, glad to be hear. I was looking for a Blu-ray forum and this one is very informative.

I do plan on keeping my C2's for as long as they last. They are by far the nicest speakers I've owned. I've had my eye out for the matching center on Ebay from time to time, thank you for the link. I plan on definitely purchasing it.

Default New C200 Speakers

Merry Christmas to all.

I just setup my C200 speakers. It was a Christmas gift from my GF (LeAnn). I was using C100 as my fronts, but I will switch them to the rear when I get a chance. So far I love the C200! More bass, and more sound. Very happy, and I can't wait to finally get my 5.1 setup soon

I went from Sony's to the C-200's for fronts. Just like you there was more bass and music especially sounds so much better now.
