I'm not familiar with Dark Force, but I just ordered The Giant Spider Invasion from their site, as it sounds like it's already available there despite being listed for preorders on Amazon. It seems like they're a pretty small operation -- can someone who's ordered from them before tell me how quickly they usually ship things?

My last order shipped on a Saturday and was available to me on Thursday. I bought The Giant Spider Invasion so it's in stock there. My shipping was listed as preparing to ship and then the day of the tracking was updated to out for delivery.

Someone should let Unearthed Films know about that news...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Scream Factory releasing a bunch of independent horror films from IFC

During the last livestream Demon and Bill were talking about doing a crowdfunding campaign for it.

Coincidence then that a rare 16mm print was just recently sold on eBay?

Dave said they'll probably pre-sell it through the store if he reaches and agreement with Bill. If they do a kickstarter, Kickstarter get a chunk of the money.

If they get enough pre-sales then they'll get the disc pressed and if it dos'nt then thats the end of the road for The Farmer and we only have ourselves to blame for not pre-ordering and spreading the word.

It is true that Kickstarter/indiegogo gets a large chunk of the money but it may be easier to get random people on social media to contribute to campaigns on those sites than an independent site in my experience, as said folks may not have heard of dark force storefront previously and thus might not trust it

If the farmer needs a larger than usual upfront expenditure, one could always increase the Kickstarter/indiegogo goal target to accommodate for any fees incurred for using one of those platforms and make it an "all or nothing" campaign. Indiegogo seems more receptive to controversial content of the two btw.

Unearthed doesn't primarily release '70s and '80s films and hasn't newly announced that it's going to begin releasing contemporary films (Unearthed has been doing that for years). Please reread the director's statement—there's no way he's talking about Unearthed.

Dr. J.R. Vance: “Hi, I'm Dr. J.R. Vance from N.A.S.A.”
Dr. Jenny Langer: “Oh, I'm so glad you're here, Doctor. I'm Jenny Langer.”
Dr. J.R. Vance: “Nice to meet you. I have an appointment with your father.”
Dr. Jenny Langer: “Oh, no no. He passed away in 1962.”
Dr. J.R. Vance: “Oh, I'm so sorry, then the appointment must be with your husband.”
Dr. Jenny Langer: “I'm not married.”
Dr. J.R. Vance: “I'm NOT sorry. Then it's probably with your brother.”
Dr. Jenny Langer: “No, my brother's an interior decorator in Oshkosh. You see, Doctor... Vance. I'm afraid your appointment is with me. I'm DOCTOR Jenny Langer.”
Y-y-you mean the doctor was a woman the whole time?

I'd probably buy the Farmer on principle alone as it seems like there have been a few posters talking about this for what seems like a lifetime.
