there was talk about it the other day.....can't remember who was all wanting to give it a go though.

you would think being a level 31 or 32 should make the level 26 raid no more difficult than running a nightfall on level 28 when you're level 29 or 30.

i mean if guys can solo the nightfall like that, 6 level 31/32 players should be able to handle the level 26 raid.......right?!?!

I should have the video of the run sometime later today. It's not from my perspective but you'll get the idea. By far the longest and most annoying spot is the Templar/Oracle area.

Also, during the platform section after the Gorgons, we would jump one by one across the platforms. Our team leader (BlueMonkeyGuy) would have his finger on the kick button on the person jumping. If somebody missed a jump and was about to fall, they would call it out instantly and he would kick them out. They cannot rejoin after that. It actually happens in our video so you can see how that plays out. The key is that it never gives the "XXXX died" message. It will say "XXXX has left the fireteam". You can still complete the gatekeeper/Atheon with 5, which is what we ended up doing.

We probably had a total of 6 serious attempts. Also, you have to have a team that can improvise when the stuff hits the fan. Strange things will happen and everyone needs to know each other's positions and roles. Our last Venus teleportation during the Atheon battle almost killed us, we ended up with a health glitching Pretorian that almost screwed everything up.

I never solo'd the Nightfall before, well I never attempted to try.

Despite being level 31+ and playing on normal , the Templar can give us fits. Even jumping down from the invisible pillars and dying will ruin our attempt. A glitch at Atheon will screw us all

Hey guys, there's no difference between 30 and 31 for "damage received from foes" unless your enemy is >L28, then you take a little less. I think only the Supplicants are L28 in the Normal raid. The rest will still hit you the same regardless

If you're going for Flawless Raider, you need EVERYONE in sync for the Gorgon Maze. Skip the shard chests. Run through the oracles and exit the portal if there's mistakes in Atheon's teleportation, and take all 8+ disappearing platforms down so you don't die on the jump.

I miss playing with you guys! Hope you're having fun, glad to see folks at L31 already.

for anyone that can answer, if someone has multiple characters that are level 30.....if you get booted from the fireteam b/c you're about to die, could you rejoin the raid as one of your other characters??

Thanks for the tips Snake_XRS. We'll keep that in mind once we make our serious attempt(s), especially when we start jumping the rocks!

From what I've read, someone can leave, but they can't come back for flawless. Also, it has to be the original team from the start in one go.

Schedule is so-so right now. I'd say after the holidays going into the new year. This gives me time to get to 31 on all 3 characters.

i'd hate to be the guy that ended up getting booted b/c of that and then have to find out that you guys ended up getting the trophy!!

what is everyone's schedule like next week w/Christmas??

i know there's no way in hell i'd be able to get on and give it a serious attempt until saturday (the 27th).

i'll probably be able to run a raid tuesday night......but after that i'll be busy with family stuff wednesday, thursday, and most of friday too.

i'll put this out there now.....if i get help from guys on getting this trophy and we're able to pull it off.....i'm totally willing to help out anyone else that wants to give it a try as well.

that makes sense, you wouldn't want someone jumping in on Atheon and getting it.

Side note; I really wanted Fatebringer before the update, but after the announcement about not being able to upgrade existing legendaries, I sort of put that to rest. The truth is, now that I've had a week with the new content, my legendary weapons are still doing the job. After running hard raid with the group last night, I found that I am still excited about possibly getting Fatebringer and the Vex Myth. So, I'd like to keep running a hard raid every week. Thanks for the invite, Josh!

i have both an arc damage and void damage sniper rifle that are old legendary ones......damage 300.

i was using the one with arc damage last night in the nightfall and was getting 14k damage on level 30 (non-hallowed) knights when i hit them in the head!!

so unless i can get my hands on an ice-breaker.....i'll just hold onto those for now.

It took less than an hour. Also, once you lose a member of the team the leader has to make the fireteam private so that nobody randomly joins in on you and screws it up.

Other quick tips I could think of is that during the Gorgon area you need to be stuck really close to each other, do not leave gaps between the players. Another thing is during the long dropping areas we tweaked our characters for higher agility to reduce fall damage. Just make sure to change it back before Gatekeeper/Atheon.

yea i'm definitely in for flawless raider. i'm off work till january 5th after today so i have time most nights. i'll be out of town around new years.
