I'm not deaf but I have hearing damage from working in a helicopter for four years so yes, working subtitles are one of the most important features of home video releases for me.

Maybe 70 million worldwide (maybe), but not 70 million in the USA! That would be roughly 1 out of 5 people in the country.

Umm... you really didn't think you'd get anywhere close to 70 million deaf customers did you? You might have gotten, maybe, 0.0000005% of that if you're lucky.

Jesus now you even got us confused! We really thought people would be thrilled with this release considering DEATH RAGE aka LA RABBIA CON AGLI OCCHI never had a high def release and the Italian cut is not often seen. Not to mention what has been out previously is really garbage. Initially we were going to do an all Italian audio track but we had so many problems with just the english one we were advised against it. The english one did have about 15 percent Italian audio anyway. Considering how bad this movie looked in previous streaming and releases and the Italian cut in high def is far preferable over the US one, this release should be very enjoyable to most.

You think we saved pennies on DEATH RAGE? That release cost so much Code Red didn't even want to bother with it. We took a liking to the movie and wanted to see it looking as good as possible considering the master elements we had. We did not realize the audio was going to be such a Frankenstein job due to all the different cuts of the movie and fluctuating between english and italian. We spent a lot of money getting the color looking good and trying to piece the sound together which was not easy.

Should have included the Italian audio only as an option. Having two options would have been better than just one.

No refuting the source of your subtitles, I see. Glad that the source came forward so we could set the record straight. Did you get the audio tracks from Cinemageddon too lol

I didn't even realize Death Rage was already out. I thought DukeToGo was talking about a Youtube version of the film he watched lol. Anyway, just placed an order. Even with the flaws I'm a sucker for obscure cult movies that haven't seen the light of day since forever. Wasn't happy about the shipping, though. I used to sell through Amazon and shipping single Blu-rays in padded envelopes cost me an average of $2.84. Granted, prices have gone up but six bucks is a lot.

Tiny little bits where it is not needed is best to not have the subtitles
messing up the nice new image we had to clean up and meticulously go scene by scene to get it looking so good.

I also ordered Death Rage! Dark Force Entertainment should be thanked for even bothering in the first place to release this movie, those unhappy with it can go back to the subpar DVD release which also doesn't feature the nudity etc. I can understand that some people had high expectations, but I'd rather have a copy of the movie (this one also being the best on the market currently) rather than not have it at all.

DEATH RAGE was the first time we had to do any subtitling and it was in very few spots. Wasn't really aware there was a big production process involved with that so however Packard achieved it went without question.
