Here's Michigan's SOS rank in recent years. It's similar to OSU's. Not surprising considering the conference just has not been very good in recent years.

Big surprise that the Ohio St. hater(he knows who he is chimed in). I think I predicted this a few pages back. I get so tired of people EVERY YEAR complaining about Ohio St's schedule when you look at 90% of the top 40-50 teams have equal or worse schedules. The formula for these teams is to play 1 or 2 BCS conference teams and fill in the rest with non-BCS or D1-AA schools. Why Ohio St. gets the focus for it's schedule screams of hate.

And to the notion that Ohio St should schedule better because their conference is weak is absolute BS. Why should they do that? To make you happy. I can see it now Ohio St has Georgia, Virginia Tech, UCLA, and Louisville as their first four games. LOL you live in a dream world if you think most teams have a non conference schedule like that. When the rest of college football schedules like that then Ohio St will schedule like that. The rest of the conference needs to step up for once and challenge Ohio St and be better than Ohio St. It's not Ohio St's fault the rest of the conference isn't up to par.

We'll see what happens when an RPI-like system is installed for next season to see which four teams get to be invited to the playoff. For now, we have the BCS beauty contest, which has produced uninspiring OOC scheduling for most teams.

Arguing that Ohio State doesn't have a weak schedule is a losing battle. It is widely acknowledged that Ohio State almost always has a weak schedule. I understand being a fan and defending your team, but facts are facts.

If we're going to talk about easy out of conference schedules lets talk about Alabama, who plays Virginia Tech, who went 7-6 last year, Colorado State, who went 4-8, Georgia State, who was an FCS team last year and went 1-10, and Chattanooga, an FCS team that went 6-5. I know the response will be that they play in the SEC so there's no reason for them to play a hard schedule, but their conference schedule only includes two games against ranked teams as they ended up with games against the two worst SEC East teams as their cross-divisional games.

I totally agree with this, their out of conference schedule was a joke. Sadly, the fact that they play at least one legit SEC team automatically makes their schedule harder than Ohio State's most years though.

Looking at SEC schedules check out the murderers row Arkansas has to face in 2013. Good luck with that new head coach Bielema. It's hard to see that team goin better than 6-6 with this schedule.

Away games - Alabama, Florida, LSU, Rutgers, Ole Miss
Home games - Auburn, Miss St., South Carolina, Texas A&M, Southern Miss, Samford, LA-Lafayatte

Doesn't App St come back on the schedule. That should with strength of their OOC games.

Te OOC games should get worse until they expand the playoffs to 8 or more teams. Who wants to start with a loss when there is only 4 spots?

Yup. It's just like UGA, who most years plays either a good South Carolina or a good Florida. Though sometimes they're good at the same time. And then every 3-4 years they play either LSU or Alabama.

Hah, App St. actually does play a highly ranked team this season. They play Georgia. Unfortunately it's late in the year in November. These I-AA schools seem to have more success against the D1 school very early in the season. Later in the season is a different story.

App St is moving to D1 in the next year or so and think they are playing Michigan again in the next few years. I don't they will get the same results this time. No Armani Edwards this go round.

When did black become part of the school colors? It's better than the blue the women wear I guess. Think you can finish higher than 4th in the division this year?

They've worn black before, but this looks lighter than what I've seen them wear in the past. I like it, they look sharp!

It's not black. The color is called "Smokey" and it's actually an official school color and has been since the beginning (it's even in the university hand book). It's more charcoal grey than it is black. It just hasn't been used in a long long time. It's only going to be used for one game this year. The rest will be orange and white like always.

As far as where we finish in the SEC East, I think 4th is about right. Really our goal this year is to get bowl eligible. This is a rebuilding process and Coach Jones is doing all the right things to get UT back to where they should be. He's already putting together an amazing recruiting class for 2014 and he has re invigorated the program.

Miami's not doing too shabby either! I tell you, I'm rooting for Miami to be good again! It seems like when Miami is good, Tennessee is good too! They along with Florida State take all those great in state recruits away from Florida!
