It should continue to sell. It's a great movie and we still have the best release of it available. Doubt anyone would reject it based on a few missing subtitles in places they were not needed. We will pay closer attention to that in the future.

In the future, use Italian and English audio on Italian made films, make subtitles for both the English language track and English subs for the Italian track, be up front that your transfer will be filled with green lines and dots instead of saying how AMAZING it looks and last but not least, don’t threaten fans that criticize the release because were the ones who will ultimately buy it and fund future releases.

I also have that release and it’s region locked to B. Not a problem for me but we know how this conversation goes when people suggest getting a region free player.

I resisted getting a region free player for a long time because I thought they would be a hassle, but I finally broke down and bought one. One of the best purchases I've ever made. I purchased the cheapest model I could find, which was around $100 and I have been very pleased. So far, it's played everything I've thrown at it with no problems.

Hey toaster it was too difficult to do Italian and English audio on DEATH RAGE. Everything existing on that is either badly cut US version or terrible quality. Sound was a nightmare went from English to Italian. And it does look amazing compared to all previous releases which is what we stated. It's not filled with green lines or there would be a revolt. We stated it came from an Italian 35mm print so obviously there would be some wear but most of it looks like the clip we posted. The movie was very lucky it made it to high def at all.

Watched Death Rage today, thought it was a perfectly serviceable release. Way better than Dorado’s Eurocrime set from a couple of years ago. I’m just thankful to have any Eurocrime film in HD. Could it have been better...sure. But some people expect Criterion level from these small labels who maybe sell a few hundred copies of an obscure movie with a small but dedicated following.

People aren’t expecting Criterion - they are expecting transparency.
Not having complete subtitles is something that wouldn’t bother me, but I completely understand folks frustration - it’s not a cheap disc.

Put up a small clip of the damaged elements you’re working with, a small blurb about the challenges involved in the restoration and you will still, absolutely sell out the disc. You’ve gave and levelled the consumers expectations.
