I'm not going to sift through the threads but I've noticed the other day viewing collections for certain releases of several users with over 6,000 and one over 7,000. Wow.

It depends. I used to add them as soon as I purchased them. Now I tend to wait until the items have shipped out before adding them. The only title that has been in my "ordered" que, but I have severe doubts I will ever see it is Au Hasard Balthazar. I just hold out hope that it will one day get released

I am getting uncomfortably close to 1100. I need to get more shelving!

I flew past 1,500 and am on my way to 2,000. I intend on slowing down in the next year and my goal is to NOT hit 2,000. I need to watch some of the stuff I own and build some shelves. My current shelving probably doesn't hold 1,000 total. The rest is in cabinets, drawers, boxes, closets. I have room for proper shelving to hold everything, I just need to build shelves.

I add them to my collection as soon as they are shipped to me, for example I ordered some TWILIGHT titles on the 20th, they didn't ship until yesterday and that's when I clicked "add to collection"

Just realised 3 titles to my collection this morning meant I just hit 1200 blu rays... and to think I hit 1000 over Christmas last year and was at 960 around this time last year, that's a bit scary I have added around 240 titles in the last year... just slightly addicted to blu :P

For years, I always added titles when they shipped.

But my collection kept growing, and once it got close to 2000 titles I came down with a serious case of CRS disease

2000 is coming up for me.... I would have been there easily this month if the Black Friday deals were as good as previous years...

not is a race or hurry either way, I simply buy movies I want as the price hits what I consider a good deal (many times "good enough" on titles I really want)

Upcoming films that I plan to buy go in their respected "ordered" category. Movies that are already out go in my wishlist. For me, once something is paid for (money taken out of my account), it goes into my "owned" section and is finally counted.

I only add blu-rays to my collection when I actually get them in the mail. I do have a backlog to add to this site though as I have been buying quite a bit lately.

Flew by 2000 over the holidays and the arrival of some boxing day stuff has me a little over 2100 now. Now I just need to figure out a better way to store them..

Closing in on the 1,500 mark with 1,449 currently. That number isn't by title though, so a box set is only counted as one. Going by titles I have definitely joined the 1,500 club. Not sure what criteria others go by in this thread?

Finally joined the 1000 club sometime last week and if anything I've only been picking up the speed at which I acquire more blus!
