I guess the Beta is a big deal. I had 28 friends online earlier and 22 were playing the Beta.

Mine downloaded in less then an hour.

I don't get it? Is this all the game is? Where is the multiplayer or is this Beta only story mode? I've been playing for a few hours and every once in awhile I run across other players..

Next question is. If I buy the game. Am I going to have to do all this over again?

I'm wondering the same. I randomly got into a co-op game and don't see a menu selection for anything else. I just played for about a hour today. Had things to do. I would like to try hunter and warlock. I've been playing as a Titan.

I believe you enter multiplayer when you are at the tower and join the Crucible. I've been playing campaign for a couple of hours to get the hang of it and even on the PS3 the game runs good and looks great, can't wait for my PS4 now. A couple of time a random player would join me in killing a few waves of Fallen while in campaign, that was interesting.

I worked 10 hours today only to come home and be angered and disappointed by the ridiculously long download speeds. It's not my connection. Bungie servers are getting hammered. Only got 3.5 gigs done in 3 hours.

I just started my download a few minutes ago and I'm at 29% (3+ gig) so I don't think it is going to take all that long. It is going pretty fast so far...

Edit: My download speeds are usually around 170+ mbps.

Something must be going on. Mine is still going but ive done 4.5 gigs in about 40 minutes.

Took me about 2 hours to download. It went real quick at first, stopped at 65% for a bit.. then went fairly quick again after that.

As for the game.. I enjoyed it. Wasn't blown away though. Have to get some more time in tomorrow.

I'm a bit cheesed off with Bungie. They've capped the beta at 8. My only hope is that lifts off to maybe level 10-12 after the scheduled maintenance.

Also, i've noticed some changes since Alpha that although are probably for more long term goals such as keeping players on a gring e.g. The spinmetal you could exchange 20 of for Vanguard marks etc. in the Alpha up to the limit of 100 per week based on online info. Now, the exchange requests 40 and spinmetal has been made very difficult to find. As well as being harder to find and farm since Alpha, you only get a single spinmetal whereas Alpha you could gain 4-5 at the luckiest end and usually 2-3.

It seems Bungie may be seeking to make the grind to getting legendary and exotic gear even more steep but that means previous to the 100 marks per week cap and 3 months to get all vendor gear, it'll possible double.

Now bear in mind though, i've yet to go back into the Crucible and they may very well have made it much easier to earn marks and reputation in there instead up to the weekly limit.

Character options are unfortunately still very limited and amongst the bigger disappointments for a game centred around the concept of becoming a legend. They should have taken a leaf out of the book of games such as Skyrim in this respect.

The game is still very solid and enjoyable, but i've also noticed, those free DLC incentives retailers are giving seem to be edging up on the not so frivolous end of things. Mainly because the difficulty in obtaining those things in game appears to.have been cranked up by 5x in difficulty.

Lastly, i've noticed armour colour shaders were dropped from the vendors such as Dead Orbit etc. I enjoyed actually getting the best possible gear in the Alpha, and then having been able to get a single uniform colour on my armour rather than the scavenger mish mash look.

So far, happy to be back in the world of Destiny, but a bit defLated with some of the choices.
