Not sure what could be happening with it, but worth keeping an eye on for sure.
Not quite so easy to nab. Looks like #3/#4 has also disappeared completely from the internet as well. Not a copy to be found anywhere. #5/#6 seems to still have copies out there, but probably not for long. Didn't check #1/#2. It's pretty clear Warner has given these films back to Paramount. I can see the box-set skyrocketing in value now.

Dang. I'm still catching up on buying them. Luckily one of the F.Y.E. that was going out of business last month still had a couple but not all of them in store for like 60% off. Now I'm gonna order V/VI off of Amazon before I forget about it and it possibly goes oop overnight at some point.

edit: Whew. One of the ones I got at that going out of business sale was indeed the VII/VIII.

Yes it is, although in fairness the old disc had nothing but the director's cut. The new one has that, theater cut and roadshow version along with all the extras from the 4-disc DC dvd. The old version is pretty worthless since it has been way outdone by the new one, and the new one is cheap already.

Screenshots at caps-a-holic look nearly identical also.

I don't know if mentioned, but although Sony's release of The Messenger: The Story Joan of Arc is discontinued. The French release from Gaumont is region free and english friendly, I believe possibly the same encode.

It's also readily available and relatively cheap.

It's still available here in Australia, from Madman Entertainment:

Where did you read that? I don't own it, so I can't confirm this.

Amateurs, I had more respect for you both than that, especially you Mike . Who trusts back covers or online distributors/retailers as reputable sources? Often distributors only put the region code of the territory on the cover, when in fact the disc is region free. This happens all the time in Australia, the membership of the Australian/New Zealand sub-forum prove this regularly. Until someone purchases the title and confirms it it's unknown.

there are plenty of disks on this site where the brdc database lists them as region-free even though the package says it's region locked, because of exactly what you stated.

Unless somebody confirms otherwise, I'll usually trust that this website says.
