I really like that we know nothing.... just whet the appetite for more!

I really like that they didn't show any of the OT 3... and just showed the Falcon to get us interested.

Really really looking forward to this.

Well, it didn't really tease anything most didn't already know about. The only interesting thing was the sword-like lightsaber, but even that was a little much in my opinion. One small slip of the thumb, and yours is gone.

As for the voice, the more I listen to it the more I can detect certain hints of Serkis' way of speaking, albeit with a fair bit of digital tweakery on top. I TOLD y'all it wasn't Cumberbatch. I too was wrong about it being Adam Driver, but like I said: Benedict doesn't have the monopoly on scary bad guy movie voices.

I'm excited. Something about it didn't "feel" like the old movies but I don't think that exact intangible could ever be duplicated. I liked what I saw and can't wait to see more. This is one movie I'll try really hard not to read too much into so I can hopefully be pleasantly surprised at the theatre.

It didn't need to show anything we haven't already known about. They just needed to tease the movie to build some excitement and get people talking. It clearly did that.

Definitely leaves me wanting more. By that measure this teaser is a rousing success for me. The buildup over the next year should be a lot of fun.

To me, the point of a teaser is to place a powerful image in the audience's mind, that they'll remember a whole year later. I didn't get that vibe from this at all; it seemed like random shots just pasted together.

A teaser trailer is just to give the audience a small glimpse of a film and to let everyone know the film is coming. That's all a teaser is supposed to do.

I'm not sure what to think of the lightsaber with the cross-guards, it looks a bit iffy, even if it will look amazing in the dark. I can't see it serving a purpose as it would be destroyed if the cross-guard was ever hit. Maybe it can be used to stab, when two combatants get up-close-and-personal? very Sith ...

Have we ever seen a lightsaber dagger in the EU?

I thought the teaser was fantastic. Can't wait for a longer trailer.

I kind of hope that the girl is one of Obi-Wan's Tatooine descendants. It would be nice to see the Kenobi line continue but that's just wishful thinking!

I liked it. It is very OT like, but I hope it doesn't have too much to do with the Empire or else it'll feel like a rehash of the OT.

Even if it is, it has to be leaps and bounds better than the PT tho!
